Hey everyone,

For my Writing class, I have to write a paper on bocking and I have to use Wikipedia for some of it. When I look at the Wiki site for bocking, all I could find was powerbocking, and the article is really small and doesn't even have PoweriserPages.com on it.

I was hoping maybe some of us could update the article. I would update it, but it would look really weird if I updated it when I'm researching it for the essay lol. I know a lot of you all know way more than I do about bocking. Plus, not only just for me, but it would be a great place for people to really know what they are from a site that gets a ton of hits.

I believe the wiki on bocking has been a bit controversal and was very one sided towards a certain brand. After this was reported it got stripped down to what it is now. *shrug*

Yeah, about 9 months ago there was a nice section written by myself citing brand differences, manufacturing locations, and the background of the name and the inventor. Some of it remains but the majority of it was wiped, and whenver I have attempted to update the article or add some additional points, it has all be removed within a few hours.

Someone did however around Mid-December totally rape the article with Pro-Jump stuff (I'm not against pro-jump or anything, but it was very biased towards them and whatnot, I know it was not pro-jump staff who did it but a normal bocker). It was very badly laid out and not very well recieved by the wiki community, which is why I think basically any edits to it now are instantly removed. Originally the article was very PoweriSer biased as well, and this was changed. The version I did some work on is here. I believe Bill C. also had some input into the article:

Sadly I think most of it is now written by non-bockers, or bockers who are not part of the larger community, and some of it is misleading.


Although I must ask... Why are you needed to include wiki as a source? It's one of the most unreliable sites online! Shocked

I added in Skyrunner and named the Chinese company, Flying Locust.  I don't know if it will stay, though.
