Washington DC meet, "Captial Bocking USA" DISCUSSION

Anyone want to get together sometime in August around Detroit, Chicago or Cleavland Area?  The Woodward Dream cruise is August 18th.  Which might be cool to go and steal some attention. 10,000's of people will be there.

I'm thinkin drive in on a friday night, Bock on saterday, home on sunday.

I'm from the Detroit area so I could find some places around here.

Ideas?

well I was hopin for all those unable to travel to the other side of the world we could get together around here sometime in august... doesn't have to be the 18th. 

Maybe it would be cool to have world wide bocking day with groups all over getting together on the same day.

looks like i'll be in for this as i'm not gonna be able to get a passport in time for the london meet would be amusing if since they're doing capital bocking london we did capital bocking washington on the same day, get like a web cam link between the two meets, just an idea but it'd be cool

If we have it the same weekend (18th, 19th) I would like to make it to the Woodward Dream Cruise and I know michigan is not so conveniant for everyone to go to.  Should we just go for Washington DC? That's a 9hr Drive for me but could be done.

DC's about the same drive for me but if we could get a bunch of people to go it would be damn cool to have 2 giant simultaneous meets

I'm gonna call it now, cause this would be awesome if it works, i'd say as soon as we have 10ish people saying they're  going i'll make another thread for specifics, but for now Washington DC August 19th, that's as specific as we'll get till we have a few people.

i know whats almost better than DC...Pacific Grove, CA!!! its a great location right next to the beach, where we can wreak havoc upon all the senior citizens that gather there in abundance...i cant make it to DC guys, sorry, maybe next year

that had crossed my mind Q, make it world bocking day a meet in every capital city, it'd be madness.  Definately gotta get somebody with a laptop at both meets to find an open wireless net work and get a webcam link between the two just cause it'd be silly, prolly a ground support person would be necessary for this, I wouldn't want to bock around with a laptop.

I also just changed the title of this thread to more accurately reflect what it is about.

I also just looked it up and it's going to be a 7 hour drive for me, very doable, only one tank of gas each way, i'm thinking i'm gonna go half way the day before crash with my friend in Jersey then drive down, bock and then drive back to Jersey as then i won't have to pay for a hotel (yay being cheap)
