Yep Siph  it was a lil tuff. It was about the only Sunday all summer that reaced 70 degrees. And this stilts are not light, but you felt you had really done somat by the end ( but this year Im gonna try and book the Mondayoff after Grin)
Sounds like a good plan. Along with about a month's worth pf stamina training beforehand, I think I'll have a word in my bosses shell-like about off time :-)

My girlf doesn't sound keen on joining us but I'm all over this one, fo shizzle.

I suggest doing a 10k walk a couple of times before hand as training. I had done several long walks before last years event and I was not nearly as worn out as most of the other guys. If you go to http://www.multimap.com/ you can work out a route for yourself and it will give you the distance in kilometres

and  take as little as possible. Shiver in just a tee shirt 1st thing in the morning.

I forgot who  but lst year some 1 bought a fleece with um in their backpack  in case they got colod!!!!!  And drink loadsof water --but slow un steady

But yeah do prepair a lil. Im a postman I walk andcycle miles everyday   and it was still quite hard --which also made itgood Grin
