Anyone have experiance dealing with Stiltwerks?  The reason I ask is because I noticed the Velocity stilts have calf cuffs.  So I emailed them asking about replacement parts and how much some knee cuffs would cost.  They responded with "do you currently have a pair of velocity stilts?"  I'm not sure how to respond.

Maybe...
does it matter if I own a pair? as I want to buy something and you could potentially sell something and make money.

Or maybe they would be free replacments for owners?  I just feel like he's going to judge me and be like well since you don't own a pair they will be 500 for the knee cuffs.  and if you did they would be 5.

So maybe I should just tell em yea! I do have a pair and they are great except I took this spill and I bent the bars on the knee cuffs and need a replacement.

Maybe it's not a good idea to get cuffs and stick em on my poweriZers as they won't fit well.

Martin (who lives in germany) ordered some calf cuffs and they cost him something like $500. And you don't get the tubes and everything, just the cuff. You have to cut and fit the tubes yourself from the old kneebars.
Also, I suspect he'll have a list of everyone he's sold to, so if you said yes you had some, if he asked for an order number you'd be screwed.

You'd be much better ordering the poweriSer knee cuffs once xphub.com has some in stock Smiley

wow what a rip... at 500 I'll just buy the all new 07 riSers.  And you don't get the bars!?  When I get good I'm gunna have them sponsor me with free velocity stilts and never use em.  that really bothers me how expensive they are and like they are all high class and better then everyone or something.

I emailed xphub earlier this week and they didn't have pricing yet and said it would be a couple months untill the manufacturer gets caught up.

well they're just setting up shop, its not suprising they can't deal with the parts market just yet.  Their first order of 07's are still lost in the mail, so give them a few months to set up shop

They do?
Because they're not on their spare parts list, and you can only get poweriSer 2007 cuffs WITH the bars attatched.

Hi, I am the one who bought calf cuffs from stiltwerks. The caffs where around USD 400,- and either you put on the tubes yourself or you send the original knee bar to stiltwerks and they fit them for USD 150,- that is the offer I got. I put on the tubes myself to save money.

I also have the PoweriSer calff cuffs which are nearly the same and work very well and they are cheaper. But you have to wait until they are available.

Martin
PS: no matter what you order from stiltwerks it is rather costly since handmade (Huh), you have to be aware of that.

Hi,

Actually we have advanced (2007) Genuine PoweriSer calf cuffs in stock at the moment.. Shocked

We aren't offering them directly because they are of limited availability and we keep them in case of warranty.  However if you shoot our customers@xphub.com an e-mail they can invoice you and send you a pair..

I believe $130 incl. US shipping.  The price might come down when more are available.

The advanced binding is also available for $70 incl. US shipping.  Or $55 if ordered with the cuffs..  Pictures are available here: http://www.xphub.com/advanced.html

again with the advertising, at least the above parts are useful so they can stay -XS

Thanks.  This is the only place we've made this public knowledge.

$70 for the straps, that's a joke.

130 is about right for the cuffs, they're 120 in europe.
