Merry Christmas to all of you,

I have tested the velocity stilts calf cuffs for a while and I want so share my opinion. At the beginning it was very strange, it took me a couple of days to get used to them and to feel comfortable. But now I do not want to go back to the old solution. They are very soft and comfortable and no reduction in stability (at least for me, others did not feel stable).

By the way I also own the Poweriser Knock-offs and they are exactly the same, just a little bit less quality but the VS are ridiculous expensive. I would recommend to try the Poweriser ones. (see also http://www.PoweriserPages.com/forum/index.php/topic,787.0.html)

Here is a video, I made with my latest equipment (7league boots, Powerskip springs, Velocity Stilts calf cuffs). I used the E640 Powerskip springs which are proposed for 95kg-115kg since I only have 73kg it is hard for me to jump on them. Therefore the movements and tricks do not look very smooth and precise as it would be with softer springs. But I can get very good height that is the pro.

Great video Martin with good height and grabs.  Cheesy

I think you're combination of 7's, Poweriser calfs and Powerskip is cool and seems to give you good performance.

Nice vid man. You look very comfortable doing the grabs.  I have a couple of questions:-

Was it quite easy to install the velocity stilt calf cuffs?
Where did you buy them from?

Great topic Martin! And a great video too;) And as Hemoves says, you will finally be able to bottom these out too, It will just take a little longer then before.

wow, thanks for your compliments and I will try to answer your questions:

I can bottom out the E640, this is no problem, but it takes more effort and I need a very exact timing. With softer springs it is just easier and small timing mistakes are not such a problem (see one of my old videos where I used softer springs http://www.martin-alkin.com/poweriser/MartinAlkinJuni2006Poweriser.wmv).

I orderd the calf cuffs directly from Jeff, who is the guy behind stiltwerks and velocity stilts. They are $$ 500,- plus customs without the tubes. So you have provide your own tubes and to mount them on the tubes.

The Poweriser ones are delivered ready to use and easy to mount. They have a kind of 6cm rubber-tube on the steel tube which has to be placed under the tube clips. This tubes work like a brake or blocking in order to avoid the tubes revolving after a high and hard jump. This rubber thingies I did not have on the velocities so I had to find a way to solve the problem.  (sorry difficult to explain for me, I hope you understand)

The Powerskip springs are around 360,- Euros a pair and definitely YES they are worth every penny. I only know one spring which has IMHO a similar quality (7league boots) but they only have 50/70 and 70/90 so for higher weight categories I would go for the Powerskip.
