yeah that one definately gives me goose bumps.  watched the whole thing before.  Since I know what's on it now I could not get thru it.

Some board we were discussing that one and a construction worker who works those rigs said some of the cables they held onto are NOT strong enough and they are lucky to be alive.  They were just wire NOT support cables.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "free runner"?
It sounds like the after effects of a vindaloo curry. Cheesy
And if you are running for free, why do you get paid? Somewhat a contradiction of terms (only kidding!).

Oh wow, that's MASSIVE!!! Thanks so much Scruff. What a super video too!
What's the accident rate like in this sport? I imagine there must be plenty of broken bones during the learning phase.
I can see why Bboy gets paid to do that. Salary plus danger money. Wink

if you're sensible not that much, kinda like bocking, if you expect to be able to jump a 4 meter gap over a 10 meter drop immediately, then you're an idiot and deserve the injuries

Cantallian, i'm surprised you've never heard of free-running. Have you heard of Parkour? Either way, it was named (not necessarily invented, as people have done things like that for as long as anyone'd care to remember) in france, which after all, is where you live...(isn't it? Tongue).

Anyway... if i remember rightly, it was two athletic types called David Bell(belle? dunno) and Sebastien Foucan who named it. I think they were originally in the group who you posted the first video of - the yamakazi.

In case you havn't heard of parkour and are wondering what it is, it's like free-running (seen in the other videos) but less fancy. More of an efficient method of very quickly getting from A to B than an art form, as free-running is.

Yes, I have heard of Parkour and know a few people who practice the discipline. I seriously had never heard of free running until today!
