Hi Everyone!

Open question really;

Whats your preferred method of getting up from the ground?

This can be from having fallen or from having just put your stilts on, doesnt really matter. How do you do?

Personally, I have one leg in front (usually the stronger (I use left)) and one behind. Bring front's knee up to chest, push up from this compressed leg and recover by pulling up with the back (right) leg.

Discuss!

I put one behind and one infront then twist sideways, so i end up kinda stood up with my legs apart. Then I just bring my legs in.
I find it much easier than the pop-up (method on youtube)

I'm only 5'4" (162 cm) and standing up is extremely difficult due to my tiny legs. I've managed it once or twice, so I know it's not completely impossible, but does anyone have tips for a tiny bocker?

I'm a  5'8" slimbo and Im having trouble too.  Think I'm starting to get it "maybe"  I've considered carying a long hiking stick type thing just for getting up when just bouncing as transport.  Figure once Im at the level to actually do "trick skills" I'll have someone with me for safety. Just in case they need to call the hospital or morgue.  For that they can help me get up.

I've got 3 different ways...

1) The pop-up
2) The twist
3) The "lay on your back and roll back over your shoulder into the standing position"

I'd like to hear more about 2 and 3! Are there any videos of people doing those techniques online?

wellll duhhhhhh... why didnt I think of that.  the back roll one Im sure I can do (back extension roll handstand to snap down) and maybe the first one.

On the first one ("kip up"... some times called "knip up" {pronounced "nip"}) I can do w/out stilts but Im use to standing tall at the end and not sqauting... and for sure with the leg extensions that basically these are .... I would have to squat to make it.  That will fill weard since I push so hard to learn it straight legged and teach it that way.

For me might be easier off my head.  (Head kip or Headspring) but would still have to squat on the end.

I want to see this Twist up method!!!!  I've tried a few the way I think your talking but no go.  I've made the regular pop up a few more times now.
