I want pink tape too but can't find any hockey tape in this country - I don't wanna use vinyl tape - so I'm gonna import some from the states.

Smurf, if you PM "Frenchy" nicely she might post up the 23m of day-glo pink tape she's got left over from when she pinked hers up. I got it from eBay, 25m worth of what is REALLY REALLY pink electircal duct tape (about 1.5inch wide) for £12. Maybe you could come to some agreement?

I'll text her now in advance of yours for you.

We're bockers, we're nice!

Bah! I've just bought some drum stick tape from ebay - dunno how good it is going to be, but it is a cloth tape as opposed to a plastic-type tape, which is what i wanted.
if it doesn't work out, I'll def be interested in Frenchy's spare tape if she doesn't want it - though i would have thought it would be good to have some spare in case of damage - maybe not 23m of it though!!

If the drum stick tape works out though it might be good for other UK bockers - i know how hard it is to find cloth tape in any colour other than black or white...

as soon as i get my risers (hopefully ordering them on Monday for a Thursday delivery) and the tape arrives, I'll get 'em taped up and let you all know how good it is.....

you might want to use a different tape for the first layer or two, and just the colored for the layer that you are going to see

yeah - that is a good idea - maybe I'll just use electrical tape and then the drum stick tape - it depends how strong the drum stick tape is - if it is a lot stronger than electrical tape then I'll just use that - at the end of the day, proctection comes first - the springs costs a lot more than a roll of tape....

Tundrah - where's the pics, then?

My internet at home is down for two weeks, so I can only use the internet at work.  Sad

I'll do it tomorrow, promise.   Grin

I'm looking forward to seeing your springs tundrah, the innertube sounds like an interesting idea...

I've discovered you can order hockey tape from www.unicycle.com, where my brother's unicycle came from. They're a very good company, but it doesn't specifiy how long the tape is Undecided
link

Tundrah, this shop is in winton, sorry it's a bit late as you've already done your springs, but if the innertube doesn't work, you can always get some hockey tape nearby
link
(And anyone else in the UK who wants some, you can order it online from there too Smiley

Both links work for me... Search S&J sports in google and click hockey, then accessories, then cloth tape. It's £4.50 and you can get black, white, yellow, red, navy and orange Smiley

Hey Sprog.  Could you tell me the exact URL for the S&J Sports hockey tape in the UK?  I tried Googling it but couldn't find the shop.  I'd like to add it to the PowerBocking Resources.com website for those in the UK.  Thanks.

If you want my view of it, get the best tape you can get. Since it is of out most importance that the springs are protected against nicks.
