I am posting this new topic as Wolfgang in Austria asked Mattias to carry out some independant tests on the S Rex type R EVO recently. I think this is important information for the community as the tests were completely independant and also show a direct comparison between the S Rex and Powerskip from an expert user point of view. This is Mattias own words from his email below.

Swebounce Test

Hi Wolfgang.

I did some testing with the 7-League boots yesterday.

I will give you the facts from the test.

I measured the performance compared to my powerskips by jumping and touching the wall.

With the 7-league I jumped 4.28m high with my hand. If you then subtract my length of 2.80 with the stilts on and my arm up you get the height of the jump alone to be 148cm.

I did the same jump with the powerskips and got 4.30m high - the 2.80m Gives the powerskips a height of 150cm

I also tried to do some somersaults over a bar and broke my record by a lot. I didn't have time to try with the powerskips again so it was not a test between the stilts. But anyway my old record from like 5 years ago with powerskips was 2.35m My new record was 2.60m with the 7-league. I think that's a world record:)

I find that the 7-Leagues take a little bit more force to get to the maximum bounce.

The bindings are the best one's I have ever had.

The knee bar gets a big plus for the new metal buckle but I still prefer my cuffs because I don't need to wear any kneepads.

I hope you like the feed back and I'm truly impressed with the performance of the stilt.

I think you really live up to your motto "made by jumpers for jumpers".

Sincerely Mattias

Good to know.. Mattias is someone we can trust for sure.
I really want to order some s rex springs but there is some problems with that, 7's don't make any delivery out of England, and a privet delivery with a friend cost the same price like the springs...  Undecided

Yeah, I can cope with having to put a little bit more force into my jumps if it saves me 500 quid  Tongue

Thanks to Mattias for his independent opinion.

Makes me happy that others have similar experience with the S-Rex. As I also said: I think S-Rex and Powerskip are fairly equal, but S-Rex for half the price.

Good to know.. Mattias is someone we can trust for sure.

Why ordering form UK??? You are in a non patent-protected country. Simply order from Austria (As many did already).

So... who's willing to ship me a set?! :-)
You can now legally order them from US. (And as far as I know you already had an offer)   Wink

shortly after mallorca i will hopefully be one of the first to have a butchered set. as i plan to fit the springs to my Powerskip framework. will let you all know how that gets on.

But yea.. will the springs be available for all to buy seperatly.. i guess they will have to be strict measures to make ssure people dont fit them to a frame that wont be able to handle them.
