Well hey, ive only had my powerisers 6 days so havnt completely mastered back sumi yet but its nearly their here is a rough guide of how to learn a sumi (flip) on a trampoline / powerisers etc.
Well i posted something earlier to help some1 out was roughly saying this
First of all i advise everyone to learn a front sumi first fronts are harder when you no how to do both, but easier when you are learning confused yet? let me explain,
Fronts - most people are able to throw themselves over their head frontways at first as their is hardly any chance of landing on your head. Most people can easily get round so they land on their ass but with backs you have to travel 180 degrees before you willl even land on your head. it is alot easier learning fronts first as their is a lot less chance of injuring yourself.
Backs- most people when they first try them will fling themselves over one shoulder. This is normal as most people on their first few attempts either fly backwards landing in a heap on their head, or flying over their strongest shoulder.
How to learn fronts
Start off on a trampoline - its not all about height wt u want 2 aim for which is hard at first is to not go straight up, and not being able to get enough rotation to get all the way round or jumping to far forward and landing in a heep. Start off doing a few small bounces then swing ure arms from behind your head down towards ure hips, this provides a lot of momentum and helps get u round. You also need to tuck your legs into a tightish ball. It will take a few attempts to no when to kick your legs out and to land with your feet on the floor.
Hope that helped =)
Backs - As i said at first you will most likely throw yourself over one shoulder, just keep practising until you have enought confidence to throw ure body striaght backwards and over your head.
Its basically the same principle as a front sumi just reversed what you need to do is start with your arms out in front of you, do a few small bounces bend your legs then swing ure arms so they go upwards and behind ure head. Now lean ure head back slightly and tuck up into a small ball (keep ure eyes open dont shut them). You should be able to see and feel when you need to kick your legs out and land will take a few attemps but you will get their. =)
Ive found the same applies for powerisers in learning. I learnt fronts first its just the same except you need to use a bit more power as you have a fair bit extra weight to take round with you.
Good luck Paul.
PS their we go Zackiz hope ure happy
