Sprog, I used to think I didn't have the leg strength for a popup but then I slightly changed my style and its easy now, make sure your front leg is to the side of your body rather than underneath it, much easier like that Smiley

You are welcome, Q.  This does not mean that I am a profesional pick-up artist.  It just means I am always willing to help a friend.

hm, whenever i try that technique (the standing up) the leg i use at the back comes apart a bit from the bock, and i dunno if it's just me, but it's impossible to get my leg even at a 110 degree angle! it might be i have my bock to high ion my leg, but i dunnno, it's just impossible to do it.

I can get as far as the foot infront, but after that I topple over sideways. Any ideas?

I did actually do it once when I fell over in poole, never done it since though Sad

i dont know if this is useful or not because i just got my 7090's yesterday and it is snowing like crazy out sooooo i havent had a chance to implement. but i have a small extendable pole i got from home depot and i dont think i will need to extend it. my plan was to just carry it around as a bocked. i also think once someone got good at it they could vault a little with it.

if you try it let me know how it works cuz i am stuck for like 4-5 days without being able to do a first run Sad

explain extendable?  Reason I ask is some methods of extending I would thing would collaps when you try to use it to get up.  You have a link to Homedepot produce?

I have a pole (6') that is a wooden flag pole.  I use it when Bocking for a mile or more. Gives me something to lean on so I can stand still and balance as I'm waiting for an opening in the traffic to cross the road.

I can get up now without it though it is easier with the pole.

well i looked online and i couldnt find them at the Home Depot's web site

but it is a LongArm extendable pole that you push a button and it slides out to twice the length

supposed to be for painting but i weigh like 135 and i do believe it would hold me for a vault. it is pretty sturdy

of course, being leap day i just took them around the house for my first walk and it will OBVIOUSLY be a while before i am vaulting. or walking. heheheh

You should try the method Athoul linked to... I learned that one after 10 minutes or something. And you wont topple over as you have your hand in the ground to help with the balance.

She probably has it down by now.  This topic died months ago.  Look at the date for the last post before you comment.
