I just got shipped two sets of S-Rex Type X springs.  The jumping kind, not the running kind.

I just spent about 40 minutes putting the S-Rex springs on my Poweriser Advanced frame.  I have photos of the entire process, in addition to detailed notes about the process.

Right off the bat,

They weigh slightly more than the poweriser 90120 springs, and are noticably thicker, yet still fit within the clearance of the hooves and brackets.

The insulation is thicker.  Much thicker.  The pivot point where the bearing sleeve meets the spring has a thick plastic plate.  I was able to remove the insert that comes with the poweriser advanced, due to the bearing sleeve being flush with the spring at that point.   The top and bottom mounting brackets are about 10% thicker, and seem to be made of a higher grade metal.  The sets i received were slightly misformed however.  I think it may have been a quality control issue with that particular batch, and i'm going to contact the manufacturer about it.  I ended up leaving the bottom bracket on, and replacing the top bracket with my poweriser advanced bracket.

They actually used thread sealant on the nuts and bolts that go through the springs.  This is an improvement over powerisers as well, as i've YET to see thread sealant on any part of any set of powerisers.

The only modification I had to make to use these springs on the poweriser Advanced frame, was to dremel about 1mm of metal off of the vertical frame post rail, due to a clearance issue.  I have photos of it, but i still have to upload them all.

I currently have a pinched nerve in my back, but i couldn't resist putting these on for a few minutes.... and sure enough even brand new they are NOTICEABLY softer and flexier than poweriser 90120's.  This made me VERY excited, and i tried a few light jumps and i'm noticing that i can put less energy into a jump.

Nick get's here on friday night.  We'll be extensively testing these springs all weekend, and meeting up with Bill C as well.

There will be LOTS of pictures uploaded to this thread in the immediate future.

Somebody get 7league to start selling in the USA!

Argh, I'm wearing through my Poweriser springs at an alarming pace!  Skips are too expensive, Poweriser can't handle my abuse!  We want 7leagues!

Hmmm... that's true, but the reports of 7league springs sound very good now and I keep hearing new information.  PR 7090s are a bit softer than I'd like, but I don't really wanna go 90120.  If 7league S-Rex X is softer than PR90120 and loses less energy, I want them.  But the reports of breakable frames have put me off from buying a whole pair.  Every brand except Skyrunner has at least one part or another that I would greedily snap up and manically attach to my current bocks.  I want some pivoting footplates from FL or Powerskip Pro, I want Powerskip springs but won't have the money until who-knows-when, I'd snap up some PR calf cuffs if I didn't already have them, and failing Powerskip springs, I want 7league.

I do admit that my last post was a little too enthusiastic.  I am obsessed with the idea of making my bocks better.

My pinched nerve feels better.  We should be able to extensively test them all weekend.

Got my pair of type X springs installed, i've dubbed them the XS-Rex.  Dom and I went out for a 20min test bock, the real tests will be tomorrow and sunday, but out of the box i'm impressed.  These springs have 0 break in time, they're immediately springy unlike the Zers and Sers i've used in the past.  Dom tell's me i'm jumping higher than I used to, but i don't feel it, we'll get a video comparison tomorrow.  But so far, I bottomed them out just as fast as my 90120's so they're not strong enough for bockers that weigh what they're actually rated for.

Dom says they're amazing, but he's been awake for more than 24 hours and is delirious.

TOTALLY agree with that.. remember im only 11stone and i bottomed them out Straight away too.. i expected them to be solid but was rather disappointed in that..

AS I USE THE SPRING they are growing on me.. i want more power really.. but if these dont break they will be great for the time being..

if you arnt as extrme as myself but around  the same weight id totally recomend this spring to you. The reason being is that i had a friend on them the other day and he got a lot more out of them than me even thoug hhe was about a stone heavier Undecided Huh

I think it's time for the higher powers of powerbocking to invent a stronger spring.
