Squeaky squeaky is driving my son and I potty wotty. Instead of saying graphite or copper based grease, can anyone give an actual product name/model so I can just go into a car accessory shop and slap some green on the counter please?

any dry lube should work, personally i'm using silicon dry-lube, just ask the hardware shops person for lube...unless they look gay, then ask someone else Tongue

lol in the long run it's probably cheaper to lube the joints than get new stilts, but if they're free then go for it...and how?

What should I lube specifically, the interior of the cylinder that rolls against the spring where the hoof bracket joins, or would the exterieur where the spring touches the cylinder suffice?

I have to admit, it's my son's F40s that make the most noise. One started after 5 minutes of use. Then the following day both were doing it and it's effing annoying, not to mention embarrssing for him when in public.

umm, i lubed the outside and inside of everything, bushings, tubes, but not between the spring and the joint, don't think that'd be a very good idea, though i also forgot to put any extra protection when i put my springs back on last, and the tape wore through to bare spring on that joint, basically anything that moves should be lubed

...though mine still squeek a bit, probably no way to avoid the odd one, but if they sound like an old swing then yeah lube them...but clean any gunk off first obviously

on FL stilts the important thing to lube is the brash bushings, that's where the contact is between moving frame parts.

edit: oh and yeah lubing th ebushings would be a good idea, else they'll wear down and your joints will start to wobble around
