from what i hear is all you have to do is take out a couple of screws and put the new spring on, but i think that you have to buy new screws because taking them off strips them or something, but im not positive

You don't need new screws. All you need to do it put some locktite on once you've done the old ones up.
That's what the "special liquid" is that comes off when you undo them, so you just put some more on when you do them up.
