Their hoping for over 100,000 people coming to watch, TV, Newspapers , Their making a DVD and WE ARE LEADING IT !
PLEASE NOTE ! THEY SAY ONLY 16 IN PARADE !!

It's their 50th so is extra special.
They've ask if we could carry some flag at their " World Tulip Summit " on the same day !?
The parade is a about 4 miles long and at walking speed .
The parade start about 2pm so we need to be at the start field before 1pm
It finishes in Sir Halley Stewart Field.

Here a link to their site
http://www.flowerparade.org/contact.htm
And here's some more !?
http://www.spaldingnet.com/spaldingtown/parade/index.html
Check the gallary on this one !
http://www.tulip-radio.co.uk/

Don't panic if your new or not very strong and don't think you can handle a flag a bock that far we are all sharing the flags. These flag are "normal" size !?

These people say they can make it. If your names not on it or you can't make it tell me
Dark Knight, Carma , SX Nutta , chocl8 , dr. delicious , trixster , Spud , Charlie B ( +1 ? ) , Tok , theonlysilenthunter , Gixer , Opal

We needed to be at the start before 1pm. We should get there before so we can have a look at the floats before hand as there will be lots of poeple there so we can show of there too.
This field is where you can park your car ( I can get some free parking ). Should you need one please tell me as I believe these are limited !?

The train station is not across town ( near where it finishes ) there is a bus which cost £1.

If you need more info or I've missed your name off or you can make it reply to this topic.

I thought it might have had somat to do with Spalding Grey. He had a bit part in the film 'the killing fields' the experience of which evolved into a famed monologue 'swimming to cambodia', but obviously not.

If it helps any ( but probably doesnt)  but 'thanks for the memories' was also , I believe, Bob Hope's signature tune.

I don't think we need worry about the theme I think they'll be happy as we are !?

Sounds like the parade a done deal ( Still seeing if we'll get our own number ) the flag thing is still to be sorted but tell me if you'd be up to carry a flag ? Even if your new to bocking you've got lots of time before the parade

They've just emailed me and are very insterested with us but they need a ruff figure of the numbers coming ?
I know this meet is a long way off ( MAY ) but if you think you'll be coming please say so !?

They are hoping we can carry 11 flags ( check first page ) so we need 11 bocks   Smiley
They dont mind us what we wear, but I was thinking that a T-shirt design maybe a nice idea, after all it their 50th and our first    Grin

Maybe you know of a parade near you that we can join in !? Doesn't hurt to ask I did and they liked the idea   Cool

I'm going to Spalding this weekend ( see below ) to meet up in person with them so may have an idea what these flag look like !?
If I've time I'll check the route out ( I know most of it but I'll check the start and finish areas !?

This isn't the parade but it's to do with the flags they want us to carry !?

PLEASE NOTE ! THEY SAY ONLY 12 IN PARADE !!
So far we have 11 coming and a couple of maybes !
They say more can join afterward
I may push for more in the parade 20ish on the grounds that some are coming a long way to be in the parade. Also that we can't bounce and do flips if we have flags in our hand therefore we want more with us !
So if they give us a limit of 20 or less I'm going to say that's all that can come !
What do you think ?

What they said ( I'm Andy LOL )

Dear Andy,
we can only have the 12 in the Parade, BUT we have an event going on in the town centre at Sir Halley Stewart Field.  The organiser would like some to be there to entertain the crowds.  We could have quite a few there.  Just let me know how many and I'll find somewhere for them don't worry
