Hi there,

just wondering if anyone from Scotland is making the journey to Cardiff for Capital bocking? Trying to see if anyone wants to share the burden of driving or if everyone is flying down? cheers  Wink

Why don't you just sprint down on bocks?

I'll have a look this afternoon but I am sure flying is a better option.

It would be fantastic to have someone from scotland come down Smiley

nice find ricc. If thats per person and there is more than 1 of you then it might be more econimical to drive. Say 2-5 of you in a car, I cant imagine the petrol costing more than £100 (?) including the return trip - might be wrong but thats still only £20-£50 each.

Then again, flying is easier, less tiring and a hella lot quicker so there are benefits. Give it some thought and see if there are any other scottish bockers coming down.

Hmmm... my attendance is still dependant on funds, but car-pooling may be an option.
Anyone know how airports react to risers?

theyre classed as sports equipment as far as i know so not usually a problem as long as packed properly and placed into cargo hold as fragile. (well wrapped with towels etc is the way to go!!!

bocking road trips are always a good time, unless its a lot cheaper to fly, i'd say drive it.

i agree with locky, u should see who's planning on going, if there is quite a lot of u say 4-5 people it will be worth the drive but if its only like  2 or 3 of u may aswell fly down.

Thanks for the input guys Cheesy

I'd looked at flying BMI too, and had wondered about their policy, my next worry would be traveling down to Capital Bock and having them lose my luggage, no fun there without my risers Sad but thats just my paranoia!

Its also extremely unlikely I'll get time off work either friday or monday so I may not have the time the drive down, as the AA says its a 7 hour trip so I may have to bite the bullet and fly after all.

when will you know if you have the money to go Tri?

Fuel costs for a road trip, will cost more than double that flight price. That represents great value.
Nice find Ricc.
It is always nice to have your car at destination for flexibility, but with those prices and the time saving, i reckon it's a no-brainer.

My avatar in no way, represents my bocking ability. It is just a fun graphic design.

divided that by 3 people and it'll be about the same as flying, get a 4th and you're saving money.
