Right, so. As title says, I almost have completely dismantled my Pro-Jumps. This topic is going through the stages and there is going to be a couple of vids aswell.
Ok, to begin with, this will be about 3 posts long and the pics will be seperate.
1.) I had to assemble all my materials, consisting of: One right Pro-Jump, two sets of wrenches/spanners, screwdriver, WD-40 and some bog roll (for the mess, we had no kitchen roll, and not my mess!)
2.) Taking the tire sock and foot off, and removing both bushings.
3.) Taking the kneebar, hex bolts and plastic support things off.
4.) Taking the top bushing off and removing the whole spring from the frame.

5.) Taking the mighty pink and orange fur off.
6.) Removing the footplate and bindings.
7.) Removing the slanted support.

He can put them back together, and sell them if he wants.
I think he just wanted to get to the bottom of his problem.

good on ya.... now you know the ins and outs of the frames....
A bock doc :-)..... there is only a small ammount of play.... so surely...a rubber washer, if it can be placed there or even a nylon washer would be better... or failing that.. maybe some kind of circlip would take up the play in them... the threaded foot plate supports are bent when you get them..otherwise they wouldnt match to the thread...as one threaded hole is at a different angle to the other..... i only quick viewed the vid...so i will look again and try to figure out a way to stop the movement...ok dude...laters

just checked my 7's and funny enough...they do have a circlip each side..
exactly where your play is.....can you see any kind of clips where the rod meets the frame part ?

sevens are much better in the way they are built - they are completely different to PJB's bocks....

circlips are hard to explain but look like this

yeh my Pj's have circlips both sides also.

if there missing then thats your problem in guesin but if there present you could of bent your foot plate. You could bond them in place but its a bit heath robinson. But like pinhead said, try some rubber washers if your circlips are still there, or, a couple of big ajustable spanners and bend ya frames out a bit SmileySmiley

the rod that had the movement in......where that meets the frame there are circlips one each side......a circlip is a (to make it easier to understand) a sprung washer type thing.... which generally holds something in place.... regardless wether you have 7's or pro's the design is the same....you will have clips there.....
