Sorry if i confused the issue with the prices. I should have specified what i meant more clearly.

ProJump,
i can't wait to get these now. I bet i ordered to late in the day for nextday delivery, but Saturday is not far away.
I am more exited than the kids, and i can feel the adrenalin pumping in anticipation.   Tongue
As you have already read, i decided to share the wealth so to speak. I will be checking you site for alternative colours for the other daughter.
This way we will also get a chance to see if they both enjoy it before commiting any more of the hard earned.

Will be sure to take pics of our progress, and keep you all posted.

Ok, thanx for all the advice, and encouragement.
After careful consideration of the advice (which made my head hurt some), i have now ordered the following items....
Kids Pro-Jump F50 in pink.
Kids Pink helmet
Small Roces pad set
and for me,
PoweriSer Pro 2008 PR90120

The kids F50's are only available in pink at the mo, so i will keep a look out for the blue/red or black to come into stock.

I hope i have made good choices, and am looking forward to their arrival.
Best go and dig my old pads and helmet out ready. Smiley

Will surely be asking for tips and stuff, in a day or two.

After reading a few more threads, seems i would be best advised to do a Blue Peter special with innertubes, coloured tape and old tyres, so as to protect and prolong the life of these bocks.

Hey guys,

Thanx for the responses so far. Quite a lively debate.

Mr Frank,
thanx for your input and for answering some of my questions.
I have looked at the PoweriSers as an alternative, but they are far more expensive, see below.
http://www.skatehut.co.uk/acatalog/Powerisers.html the difference is substantial.
ProJumps would rush me £365 and the riSers £560, so that is an important factor. The below knee binding on the riSers looks much better designed though...?
I appreciate and understand that you get what you pay for, but are they really £200 better? After all we will be newbies at this, and we may not even like it.
Your tip regarding footwear is appreciated and raises another question...... running trainers or skate style 3/4's. Does the ankle need any support when wearing bocks?

Pro-Jump,
thanx for the welcome. Wink
Good to hear that this latest version is standing up better than the previous ones.
Do they come with any warranty please, and you should be well positioned as to the longevity of the ProJumps??
Good to hear that i won't be the oldest kid in town too. Grin

XarnuSonci,
Thanx for the vote of confidence on my choice. I realise that there will always be differing opinions on different products, and these can vary wildly from the hardcore users to the newbies like me. As with most hobbies/pasttimes there will be more to this than meets the eye, and this is where the extensive knowledge and expertise of the hardcore users is both informative and confusing, all at the same time. Smiley
At the moment we just want to try out this new (to us at least) and weird extreme sport, and see if we can do it, and how far we can push it, and ourselves.

Are there any bockers in my area? Not seen any around.....

Hi.
I stumbled across this forum whilst trying to find some springy-mathingy's for my daughters.
This seems like quite a friendly and informative site. Congrats.
It would appear that springy-mathingy's are called "powerbocks" right? No wonder my google searching proved fruitless before. Cheesy

Having read through a few key topics here, and viewing the pic and video sections, i reckon i am gonna get in on the act too. Can't let the kids have all the fun now, can we. Wink

At 35yrs, i am hoping that i am not too old for this bocking malarky Huh Gave up skateboarding some 10yrs ago, after a good 12yr obsession. Been snowboarding every couple of years since. 14ft trampoline in the back garden gets used by us all. Kids and i, are all proficient at frontflips, but the backflip is proving a more daunting confidence hurdle. Recently bought a unicycle and i have still to conquer it's secrets, although the 9yr old has got it dialed in just 2 weeks.

Anyway, thanx to the resources on this site, i think we are ready to order our first bocks.
The girls are aged 9 and 10 and weigh 33kg and 37kg, so i am thinking 2 pairs of ProJump F50's.
I weigh in at 83kg, so believe that the M100's are the ones for me?
Looking at purchasing from the shop in the link below, unless anyone has any thoughts/comments on the intended purchase items above, or any negative customer service issues with the shop in question?
http://www.pro-jump.co.uk/sitepage/Buy-Pro-Jump-Stilts.html

A few questions for the experienced please.
Are bock comfortabe to wear and use, or will we be taking them off every half hour or so, for a rest and to relieve certain pressure points?
Are there any strange laws regarding bocks, or are they to new yet. (i am waiting for the first no cycling/skating or bocking signs to go up), and then see the "c" altered. Grin
If those are the right bocks for us, can they be found at cheaper prices elsewhere?
How long can we expect this type of bock to last?

Anyway's, i think that's it for now.
