676  Powerising / Problems / Re: 07 issue resolved on: May 27, 2008, 05:24:59 PM
more washers cannot fix this problem.

a spacer inside the frame is the only real solution, dominion and i found that 1/2 copper pipe fits very sung around the bearing assembly.  However if your stilts are already bent.  I don't think this will help, just stop further bending.  This spacer needs to be installed before bending starts.

AYE,

HI,

I'm starting to have second thoughts now these injuries are worrying me...

the thing to take away from this is not worry, but this is the reason so many people here say USE PADS.  Learn from this person's mistake and never bock without pads.

yeah get yourself some pads before you do it again with worse consequences

Sorry to butt in. But what is this w/e a memorial to? Its a holiday w/e in Britain too, 'Whitsun' ( dont ask me no idea what it means --no 1 does)

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance to all of the service men and women who have lost their lives fighting for The United States of America and the principles it represents.

you've asked and been answered twice now q

682  Powerising / Injuries / Re: How dangerous are they for beginners? on: May 26, 2008, 08:03:28 PM
yeah its very easy to make them very safe, use pads and a helmet, and know your limits, don't jump things that are taller than your comfortable, don't run faster than your comfortable.  Just take your time learning and its very safe.

Dominion was here over the weekend and we built a set of spacers to stop the hoof from bending in, don't know why the manufacturer hasn't done this yet, but we just found some 1/2 inch copper pipe that fits perfectly around the sleeves, so we cuts sections and pushed it into the frame and re assembled the bearings inside the pipe, don't have any pic of it assembled but here's a diagram of how it works.  This is really the best solution to this problem, we've just been too lazy to build it before.

that's one of the most popular bocking kneepads many here use them to fill up the kneebar and protect them.

686  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: How much force does your legs take? on: May 26, 2008, 02:17:23 AM
don't remember where i saw this, powerskip.com maybe, but something mentioned about checking the staging when you preform cause they can put down something like 1200lbs of pressure at the hoof

got back a little while ago from bocking providence, we stopped by my friend's house with a trampoline on the way home to do some flipping, cause after 7 hours of bocking we weren't tired enough.  Had a great time.  We'll be meeting again tomorrow at 2 on the boston common.

right so the early complaining that it costs nothing to get gas in the middle east is BS, if i had an oil well i my back yard i'd sell it for dirt cheap too, but if you ask me to ship it half way around the world then the cost adds up.  Yes if you want to complain about the taxes that pay for your socialized health care and other crap i have little sympathy.  Bitching at OPEC is prolly deserved, but they've got an oligarchy so unless someone's gov is gonna declare their organization illegal and not deal with its members (no one would do this, we all love gas too much).  As for the gov stepping in to make it cheaper, its not their job, biz will run such that it is profitable for its owners, and if gas became more expensive than people were willing to pay they would stop buying it instead of just complaining.  Only way the price is gonna go down is if they stop making money on it.  And as long as i want to get to work in my car i'll keep buying it.  If it gets to the point where i think its too expensive, i'll take the bus.
