484  Powerising / Problems / Solid stabalizer rod, finally on: July 01, 2008, 02:44:14 AM
Well i guess someone listens to us, I got a new pair of Poweriser Advanced 2 weeks ago, and i'm still finding the little changes on them.  They're on the 3rd generation i guess but this generation finally includes solid stabilizer rods through the foot plate.  I'll do a full post with comparisons later, but anyone who keeps snapping  them may want to see if you can get them from a poweriser dealer, idk if they're available anywhere yet.

that site doesn't even sell the right brand to have cuffs

also, you don't have to worry about any of it unless you plan on selling them.

as i said, the patent covers an idea not an implementation.  It uses the same principle of a leaf spring stilt to make you jump and run.  Just cause you made it differently doesn't mean its not the same idea.

sometimes yes sometimes no, depends what they change between generations

dk a patent is on an idea not an implementation.  The Boecks have a patent on stilts with leaf spring propulsion basically, so just by making the frame yourself and having 2 leaf springs, that'll fall under their patent.  Something like pin's straps or tire socks, has nothing to do with leaf spring stilts, just makes them better, they're patent wouldn't cover that (even though they seem to think it would)

just because some straps are designed for bocks doesn't mean their patent covers them.  They're just being asses and apparently don't like innovation in the sport unless they're getting paid.
491  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Newbie - pro jump any good??? on: June 30, 2008, 04:34:19 PM
strider/rizer/PJ all the exact same stilts
492  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Strange behaviour from eBay on: June 30, 2008, 01:24:27 PM
the boecks will keep doing this until someone takes a stand legally, which most of us or random ebayers aren't going to have the time or finances to do so.  Its easier just to sell stuff here which they don't seem to care about for some reason.
493  Powerising / Problems / Re: removing the spring covers-doesn't look too good, help anyone? on: June 30, 2008, 01:19:52 PM
if a light bounce bottoms them out one footed then they're dead
494  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Redeemed's blog of bocking awesomeness on: June 29, 2008, 11:11:59 PM
i don't know if it should be included in the price but i know you should get it either way as its much safer
495  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Very tall man needs Jumping Stilts on: June 29, 2008, 10:30:41 PM
being tall is not a problem, but there are no bocks, other than maybe DK's monstrosities that could support a 270lb person.  The biggest springs available have a 120kg(260lbs) top limit but realistically anything much over 90kg(200lbs) will bottom them out all the time.
