they'll never wear perfectly the same, you put different forces on each foot without noticing

the black plastic is prolly wearing from the impact, just add some extra material to space it out.

those spacers crack if you don't have the perfect spacing between the spring and the roller joint, i've snapped 3 of them myself, I've got 3 extra in my parts bag that's coming with me to CB so if you snap one mid meet, come find me.  As for the brass bushing wear, that's why the new bearing system was developed cause the brass bushings suck.  Could get the same thing from PJ i think the FL one's fit PR's. they switched back and forth from brass to plastic, idk what they'll have in stock.

So idk how often i'll have internet once i get over to the UK but I figured i'd have a place to write about the trip as it goes if i do.

So, let the madness begin, I'm prolly the first person to leave for CB, but I left home this morning, I'm currently at work, my last day for the summer Cheesy.  I already know something I forgot, but its not important, oh well.  After wrapping up work I'll drive 4-5hrs south west to NY to stay with Dominon until we fly out of NY on Wednesday evening.  Got a busy few days lined up, filming in NYC tomorrow, gym sessions on Monday and Tuesday evening.  Then on to the UK.  I've already done full weekend meets a few times, so I'm stepping it up to a week and a half long meet Cheesy.

distance traveled: 20 miles
distance left to travel: ~8000 miles
I've got a long way to go...

there should be a spacer between the spring and the plastic, they fall out quite often, just use some cardboard or plastic card and make something to stick in there.

427  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Upwing aka Redoxx GFK Feder on: August 08, 2008, 01:07:01 PM
the upwing/redoxx has been discontinued due to major design flaws, the new version "Olympic" might be available from speedjumper.de, not sure.

429  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Changing to a new spring... on: August 08, 2008, 02:45:31 AM
at the top of the spring, the frame is slightly boxed where it opens up to fit the spring
430  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Changing to a new spring... on: August 07, 2008, 10:26:05 PM
yeah they fit, requires grinding the frame a bit to remove a small lip that gets in the way, nothing structural
and yes the 7s springs take less energy input to get height out of.
431  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Bouncing Higher With No Tyre Socks Or Trainer Socks on: August 07, 2008, 04:31:24 PM
on the hoof wear issue, i'm currently keeping track of how many hours of bocking i'm doing on my 7's feet, so far i've done 20 something hours on them, and they've worn maybe 0.5cm so far, gonna do some measurements sometime, but it's interesting to look at how they wear, i predict mine will last at least until xmas, so eventually we'll have a rough estimate of how long 7's last, i've managed to make a pair of socks last 2 hours, heavy tread ones, managed to rip them in half on concrete pretty quick.

...so watch this space or something Tongue

have you been keeping track of the surface you bock on as well? that makes a big diff

433  Powerising / Problems / Re: mad bent stabilizer rod... on: August 07, 2008, 01:00:48 PM
did you fall or hit something?, also could've been caused by one stilt hitting the other if it was on the inside.
434  Powerising / Injuries / Re: Doh!! Broken wrist. on: August 07, 2008, 12:59:32 PM
nice revaults, shame about his wrist, hope he's still gonna come to CB to hang out and meet everyone.
435  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Bouncing Higher With No Tyre Socks Or Trainer Socks on: August 07, 2008, 03:29:21 AM
no one has, nor can anyone get definative data on the subject, everyone bocks a little different, and these little differences add up to big differences in hoof wear.  it's also highly dependent on the surface your bocking on.
