406  Powerising / Problems / Re: Front flip!! and stuffed knee... on: August 11, 2008, 08:47:13 AM
i've never heard of it specifically out of a front flip, but people have had similar problems with hyper extending their knees

they're slightly thicker, and prolly a higher grade steel than stock so they should be better than the originals

On the fourth day the Bockers rested, as they were tired from 15 hours of bocking madness the day before.

We took sunday off from bocking. Slept till about 2pm.  Did some shopping for things we needed for the trip.

While trying to adjust my stabilizer rods i snapped one of them, so we went to the hardware store and i now have 4 custom built rods.  I also took pics of the entire thing so i'll be writing up a tutorial on how to replace them, in the next few days.  Dom stripped one of the bolts in his frame, so figured while he was replacing one, he would replace every bolt in the frame with stronger ones, along with some new mod ideas to be presented later.  So we've been working from about 9pm-2am to do all that and now we're going to go make sure everything's working.

I hadn't looked at the pic till now, but damn those are way beyond bad, and that should not happen, especially not in a month, if you haven't yet email your seller and give them those pics, they will give you warranty replacements, then investigate one of these hoof protection options on the new pair, don't bother trying to fix the ones you have
412  Powerising / Problems / Re: Movement? on: August 10, 2008, 06:13:41 PM
7's spacers are better, though i've somehow managed to wear half way through mine and unglue them from the spring, probably my screwde up bodging of different stilts.

I snapped one of them in half after 2 days when i had s-rex's on my poweriser frames, if the spacing isn't perfect they fail pretty quickly.

uh i know this post is old but do all poweriser 07's have this problem? because i just ordered a pair

do i really need the spacer?

the frame spacer is not required, but I believe it will make your frames last longer.  There is also the problem that we have not worked out a perfect solution to replacing the black plastic spacer, so this fix isn't perfect yet, I was going to be working on it later today actually, i'll get back to you with results.

The binding washer should prolly be done, don't think its a problem of over tightening like frank said, cause i don't think anyone who's had the problem assembled their own bindings.

Day 3, add another 100 miles of travel, about 6 of which were walking all over Manhattan on bocks.

Dom, Vlad, and I started the day with a 2 hour film shoot for HDNet.  We taught one of their people to bock, he picked it up very quickly we were impressed.

Then  Dom and I spent about the next 12 hours wandering around the city with a few short breaks to play original NES.

and now its time for sleep

if you're hoofs are worn out after 4 weeks, they're still under warranty, get them replaced, they're not supposed to wear out that fast.

You know you're really good when you can convincingly fake being bad.  That kinda goes away when you start flipping.
418  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: XS's CB journal on: August 09, 2008, 01:10:29 AM
leg two down, work is done, I'm officially on summer vacation Cheesy, starting summer vacation with a 6 hour drive through sun/clouds/rain/repeat.  Dom and I are off for a bock.

distance traveled: 230 miles
distance left to travel: ~7800 miles
still a long way to go...
