Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: projuct grind

I'm intrigued by this mod cause i used to be an avid roller blader so i had previously considered it impossible, but after seeing that video a few weeks ago i was inspied to try it, unfortunately weather hasn't been accomodating, but after looking at the video and seeing what people have said its damn hard, the big problem i see is the stableizer bars that extend below the sides of the foot plate, I had origonally suggeted inline skate grid plates to pk in another thread, i dunno if metal is the best way to do it, depends on what your grinding on, you need a lot more wax on the rail to slide metal on metal. you might be able to install a grind plate under the front of the foot plate, it looks like the only place its really possible to grind unless you extend someting below or beyone the stableizer rods, there are already some screws that hold the foot plate down that could be replaced with longer ones to hold on this grid plate, i'll investigate further next time i'm home from school and have access to the workshop again. i'm upset that i missed a lot of this conversation but i think i've caught up and contibuted something

I've just learned that the zurich insurance ad we know and love so well, they asked zurich to cover all the jumpers for the public liability for the advert filming...and zurich said no chance lol. The serious side of this is that when it comes to performing, clubs, teams etc liability insurance is gonna cost a fair whack.
That's funny, I'm working for them next week, they didn't even ask if i had it, but i'm not doing any jumping just handing out flyers

Kiola's got the right way to spin there, i figured that out on my own learning 540's on rollerblades, really its just all about getting as much of your mass as close to you axis as possible. Has anybody else done 540s on risers? I did it once, haven't tried that often since.

well same answer then, its probably doable, but prolly not worth the money cause you'd have to get the lower bracket and the footplate and then competely disassemble the frame from the footplate down, and I'd be willing to bet that all those pieces aren't gonna come cheap, so i doubt its worth it.

getting back to your origonal question, i doubt the springs are any different so you could prolly put 7's springs and bearings on poweriZer pros, but i don't see the point, that's a lot of extra money for 7's springs if you buy a new set of pros as well.

i'd prolly be able to fly over if it was in august, september would be harder cause i'd have school. I'm not picky as to when in august, but i'd prolly only be able to make it in august

I've never heard of anyone trying this method but it sounds like it would work very well if you could get them in the right size and such. It seems you've analyzed the problem very well, and come up with a very creative solution. The construction you've described sounds the same as that of all stilts below 7's but I'd guess that skyrunners are cheaper than most and therefore are prolly made of weaker aluminium, which is prolly why yours bent, but they all have problems with the bushings and joints wearning out.

I'm bored, and there's bascially 0 activity on the site after 8pm my time cause its 1am for all you brits, so i figured i'll post a few more things about the trip. 1. The main event of the trip will be on a saturday night, in Providence about twice a month there is an event called waterfire check it out here. Its a big event with thousands of people come to providence to see cauldrens in the providence river on fire, and there are street preformers everywhere, people spinning poi, human statues, and as of last summer, me on bocks, and it will be awesome if we get a crowd of bockers to put on a roaming show, and it will be a nice display of night bocking mods. more to come
