strider/rizer/PJ all the exact same stilts
317  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Strange behaviour from eBay on: June 30, 2008, 01:24:27 PM
the boecks will keep doing this until someone takes a stand legally, which most of us or random ebayers aren't going to have the time or finances to do so.  Its easier just to sell stuff here which they don't seem to care about for some reason.

if a light bounce bottoms them out one footed then they're dead
319  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Redeemed's blog of bocking awesomeness on: June 29, 2008, 11:11:59 PM
i don't know if it should be included in the price but i know you should get it either way as its much safer
320  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Very tall man needs Jumping Stilts on: June 29, 2008, 10:30:41 PM
being tall is not a problem, but there are no bocks, other than maybe DK's monstrosities that could support a 270lb person.  The biggest springs available have a 120kg(260lbs) top limit but realistically anything much over 90kg(200lbs) will bottom them out all the time.

yeah that bottom pic was my first set of springs, never had a snap, big or little, just got softer over time till just walking on them would compress them like 6 inches.

talk to the people you got them from, cause the plastic block isn't strong enough to hold the cuffs through extreme bocking.  There is a metal replacement for it that can be cranked down much tighter.

elite's have been delayed significantly due to design flaws, they're also gonna be more expensive.  Stick with the originals.
324  Powerising / Problems / Re: ADVISORY: PoweriSer 2007 lower bracket bearing replacements on: June 27, 2008, 04:50:38 PM
I got a new pair recently and they  have a slightly different washer setup, one bigger (brass?) washer instead of the thin brass and thick steel washer, it doesn't really do anything different than the old setup did.
325  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Advice on a few things on: June 26, 2008, 11:28:31 PM
Hany of you guys had any problems with them?
They're pretty good

Can any of you recomend anywhere cheeper or better?
cheaper is prolly out there, all powerisers in the US go through XPhub so you're gonna deal with them in the end service wise, might as well eliminate the middleman

Does their warranty work like they say it will if anything is amiss?
warranty works

Is it worth the extra $ to spring on the Advanced/'08 model? That's what I think I'm going to get.
If you know you'll stick with the sport definately worth the upgrade, if you're unsure, stick with the base model for now.

camelbak/ hydration pack is your friend, get one with a waist and chest strap and you'll be fine.

is this a new washer set?
328  Powerising / Problems / Re: Legs/bouncing. on: June 26, 2008, 12:47:07 PM
I dunno, it just seems that I can't get the springs to compress much.
In the video he manages to get them all the way down, and even when I'm trying I can't get them anywhere near there. Trying as in  not actually bouncing but trying to force them down by holding onto a rail or something and pushing my feet down. xD Maybe that's not the best way to try...^^;

just holding a rail and pushing isn't gonna do much.  i think the way to go is find a light post or similar and bounce holding onto it, on each compression you can use the pole to push into the ground more and as you bounce you can reach up and pull yourself up the pole more.
329  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: right need some serious help on: June 25, 2008, 11:04:24 PM
did we get a clarification on what the "cheaper $1000 model" is?
330  Powerising / Problems / Re: Legs/bouncing. on: June 25, 2008, 11:03:04 PM
when I land i usually have me knees slightly bent, but I hold them really still.  If you lock your knees straight on landings you're just asking for pain.  With a little bend in the knees you can push into the springs and then get more power out of them.  It also helps to use your arms, you can get a lot of extra height by swinging them up as you jump.  Just don't flail around too much and throw yourself off balance.
