you guys don't seem to understand how the site works so let me explain it a bit, as it is now, the site makes matt no money, there are no ads (you can thank myself, zackiz, and esco for that).  When he wants money, he can set up the sponsored comps, which gets a retailer a logo on the home page, us a comp and some prizes, and matt a nice pile of spending money.

No ads means no constant money flow, and less incentive for matt who doesn't seem to care about this sport and site as much as a lot of us, to keep it looking good when its not doing anything for him.

That said, idk why he's not running a sponsored comp all the time cause he gets a lot out of it for the little effort he has to put in, and the community gets something back for it.
243  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Are these really powerisers? on: September 26, 2008, 03:17:42 AM
they're not Poweriser brand, they are Flying Locusts the chineese brand.  These are still ok for beginner stilts, its a good price if they're new, beware buying any bocks 2nd hand, you never know what condition they'll be in.

if you've got a wrench on each end of the bolt and it just spins, sounds like it stripped the threads, tell skate hut, idk what they'll do, cause reall you're gonna have to cut the bolt off and put on a new one, but that shouldn't happen, there's gotta be a better explination, i'm not really sure what bolts your talking about, better explination and/or pics please

You'd be the only one.  If their character is better, I'd say it's about time now.

the character can get better without making the spring softer, just gives back more energy, and still doesn't bottom out easily

i saw this on youtube a few days ago, good stuff.

interesting, doesn't really mean anything if the character hasn't changed.  Hope they haven't gotten any softer.

7's bearings are really just the standard brass bushings with lube as far as i know

fixed the embedding, this vid came out great, much better than the one we did for scifi or the one from planet green

One problem I have found on the X-bocks website is the huge time lag I experience every time I switch to a new page.  It seems that the header items take a longer than normal time to load.  I find it too annoying to put up with the slow page loading, so I don't participate.
Are you on Dial-up bill? lol
X-bocks loads faster than PP for me Undecided

xbocks slower for me too, though i wouldn't call either of them fast

the PoweriZer Bearing install that Mantis did, didn't end up working very well.  Ball bearings just can't hold up to the force of bocking. I think he said he had to replace the ball bearings after about 15 hours of use.  Also, you can't get the "PoweriZer Pro" pieces anymore, they stopped making that model.

The best way to go would be to talk a Poweriser dealer, get a new top bar and the new 2007/8 bearing kit.
