Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Upper weight limit for bocking?

we'll i'll add my 2 cents. I weight about 93kg, and have been bocking for 2.5 years. The top limit changes depending on what you hope to do in bocking. As you said you want to run. I think that it would be reasonable to jog on a pair of PR90120's at your weight, not really sure what would happen once you learn to activate the springs though as I can bottom out 90120's while running.
I've used M100 springs, PR90120 springs, and S-Rex type X springs. With the exception of the M100's these are the strongest springs made by each brand. The M100's were good for learning to walk, run, and jump for the first 6 months or so. After that I bottomed them out all the time for another 6 months till they wore out. S-Rex are good springs for heavier bockers to learn on, as they are softer and have better energy return, but they were too soft for me as i knew what i was doing. PR90120's are my current spring of choice, but i still bottom them out quite frequently, but less than any other spring i've tried and i still get between 4-5 ft of air.

Anybody going to be around next weekend for a Boston meet? I'm thinking Friday 29th or Saturday 30th. I've got a bunch of things I've thought of to try at our various spots in Boston.

Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Painful shin bar and calf strap. HELP?

I tried the Powerisers again today after having adjusted the calf-cuff bars. Nope, I cannot get on with those at all. Well, let me be honest, the leg wobble problem was no longer a concern but I found that when running my right foot had a tendency to tuck in and would have tripped me up had I continued. I went back and changed back to my Powerizers. Bliss guys, pure bliss!
sounds like you need to adjust the entire thing left or right to get your leg centered over your foot

the FL cuffs are legit I've seen a pair in action, no clue how the guy who had them got them. They're almost identical to Poweriser Cuffs, the only visual diff i could see is the padding inside the cuff is sectioned as opposed to a solid piece on the Sers. The buckle works the same. They've even got the same blue stitching down the edges of the strap.

i pulled out the stock cloth strap and replaced it with the original toe strap from the foot plate. it worked great for me, but now that i have cuffs I'm never going back. It will require adjustment on the installation if you have smaller legs, drilling a new hole in the ratchet strap and making it shorter. also the new system that 7's has works surprisingly well when i tried the prototypes at CB. they just added a 2nd metal loop that you feed the strap back through and it holds pretty well. they also added a small pad to the strap so it doesn't dig into your leg as much. This pad could be bigger for more comfort, but its a step in the right direction.

Did your hoofs leave marks on the carpet of the spring FX etc.?
My hoofs and my tire socks both leave marks on the carpet simular to the wrong type of shoe leaves marks on basket ball courts. I cant really bounce inside because of this till I find a better source of hoof cover that wont mark up the Floors.
dom had pale poweriser hooves, i had tire socks, neither left discernible marks on the sprung floor carpet

Powerising / Injuries / Re: Wristless in KY

i actually carry 2 sets of pads with my bocks, my big knee pads, and some crappy ones that take 30 seconds to put on, so if i'm doing a quicky demo i wear them instead of taking off my shoes to slide on my big pads. Doesn't really apply to wrist guards, but its an idea. Glad to hear you're not letting the injury put you off to bocking, heal quickly and get back on them.
