181  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Tire sock fit? on: October 08, 2008, 07:09:15 PM
i used to use wires off and always had one foot that slid off to the side, then i stopped using socks for a while.  Recently I've gone to just a piece of tire the exact size of the hoof held on with about 1.5 tubes of superglue per hoof, might be overkill but it works so i dont' really want to try less.

cut the wires off, throw some glue under the tires, and you'll be all set

the chat room is hard enough to follow with everyone typing at once, don't think it would be possible to hold a conversation with more than like 3-4 people
186  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Poweriser 08 on: October 07, 2008, 09:22:36 PM
the pj cuffs are fine, almost exactly the same as the PR cuffs, I've seen them in use and they were fine.

sowhat shall i do tell them WHAT???

you don't buy them, and ignore it like the rest of us.  Its not worth trying to educate every poor sap trying to make a quick buck.
188  Purchasing Powerisers / Classifies / New Classifieds Section on: October 07, 2008, 09:18:41 PM
People were asking for this a while back and i think its a good idea.  This is the Classifieds section.  Post here if you're selling your old bocks, parts, or mods.

a few simple rules:
1 post pics, if you don't we're all gonna ask for them anyway
2 if someone is selling their bocks and doesn't explicitly state in their post that they're willing to sell individual parts, don't ask "hey will you give me just the spring/cuff/whatever?"

also for the sake of faster reading, when you post something for sale, the first thing in the topic should be "For Sale", when its sold change the for sale to "Sold"

190  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Bocking Insurance!!! on: October 07, 2008, 09:03:47 PM
Umm insurance where i go gymnastic they have insrance and it is just a pain in the bottom cos it cost more and more mioney

that's a different kind of insurance, the insurance from sports cover direct as mentioned above is public liability insurance, which covers you if you fall on someone and hurt them while bocking.  The insurance your gymnastics place has covers them if you fall and hurt yourself on their equipment.
191  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Poweriser 08 on: October 07, 2008, 09:02:41 PM
08's are good, I've been on them since May 07 when they were first available in the US and i love them.  There have been recent problems with bad frames and wobbling, I've made a few custom mods to keep that in check, others don't think taking the time to mod them is worth it and just take the cuffs (they're big selling point) and put them on other frames.  Also PJ are coming out with cuffs in the next few weeks so you may want to look at a pair of PJ cuffs on your current stilts or a different pair of frames.

i don't think there is a set limit on Sig length, but if its long and annoying you'll get a PM from me rather quickly asking you to make it smaller
