the bushings are designed to wear out, its what they do.  you're supposed to keep an eye on them and replace them as necessary.
137  Powerising / Learning Tips / Re: Proper falling video, please! on: October 19, 2008, 09:16:58 PM
landing like that just sounds painful, it avoids wrist injuries, but it seems to be more aimed at high stilts where using your arms to catch you will result in breaking your arms.  as long as you've got writs guards, elbow pads and knee pads, its not hard to fall to your knees and slide out on your wrist guards and elbow pads.  Unfortunately not everyone wears this padding so its more difficult to fall safely.  I fall to my knees and forearms, it works fine for me.
when falling from running there's really no time to react and do a certain position unless you practice a lot, not worth it for me.

how'd you cut the tire?
139  Powerising / Problems / Re: Lower bearings in Powerizers on: October 19, 2008, 08:34:55 PM
right so back on topic Polarbear if you pull that plastic piece people have put any number of things in its place.  I've got 2 pieces of sheet metal there at the moment with a few layers of tape to hold it in place, works just fine.
140  Powerising / Problems / Re: Dissapointed in 7leagues hoofs on: October 19, 2008, 04:40:43 AM
sock the dying hooves and keep using them, as long as you can keep adding more rubber, there's no reason to replace them, till the metal breaks.

s-rex's are a bit heavy, people don't seem to complain about that much.  I'd gladly sacrifice a bit of weight for sturdier frames.
142  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: SpeedJumper Professional on: October 16, 2008, 03:46:46 AM
if anyone's learned anything from the past results of buying unfinished prototypes they're not gonna sell many.  I'd love a pair of those frames, but i want a fully test production model.

144  Powerising / Injuries / Re: lower back pains? on: October 15, 2008, 10:35:51 PM
thanks, the pain isnt bad just annoying and kind of sharp, so i just need to rest i guess, i just put a new "coat of paint" on my bocks in the mean time XD ill post a pic here soon

Nah no point in resting, just keep on going thus your back will get used to it and alakazzam! - its gone :- )

umm... NO, if you're experiencing pain, take a rest for a few days, try it agian see what happens.  If it doesn't go away, then you've prolly actually hurt yourself and should see a doc.
145  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Strange new skater kite mod on: October 15, 2008, 10:31:28 PM
the problem with bouncy skates if if as you compress the springs if your leaning either a little bit forward or back the wheels will go shooting out from under you.
146  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Strange new skater kite mod on: October 15, 2008, 06:20:42 PM
the spring could bend but the person would fall over forwards as the spring bends, cause the lower frame wouldn't move because its triangulated with the skate.
147  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Fusion~DNA-EVOLUTION on: October 15, 2008, 05:41:08 PM
i just got a pair of powerisers, i way around 190lbs and i got the 115-200lbs range, was that a mistake?

that spring doesn't exist, if like your profile says you have 7090's yeah that was a mistake, they'll be soft and easy to learn on, but you'll bottom them out pretty quickly.  I'm about 15lbs heavier than you and bottom out 90120's easily
148  Powerising / USA / Re: Bock NYC 2008 FINAL INFO on: October 15, 2008, 03:15:57 PM
idk, i'm not arriving till like 7-8pm i think depending on how sucktastic traffic is, so people get there early and want to bock by all means go right ahead i sent everybody a list of phone numbers to coordinate such things.
149  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Trip needs your advice, just be honest on: October 15, 2008, 03:47:53 AM
the more forms there are the more fractured the community is, so i'm against more forums.  However, I think the site would be improved with things like tutorials on the basics of bocking.  I'd be more apt to buy from a site if they had good support on how to use these crazy things.
