if you;re getting 90120s might wanna do a check on them first think riser recently sofened them or something, dunno but do some asking around sure womeone will know...all depends if you're in teh 90120 range though really
nope they haven't softened up, I tested a pair of the "newer" 90120's @ BockNYC they're still stiffer than s-rex's The pair i had that made me think they might be softer was definately a defective pair.
we had a variety of hoof types in the gym, tire socks, Poweriser light rubber, and 7's dark rubber. The only time we left a signifcant mark on the gym was dawesome's 360 back bail. We managed to get most of the mark out.
Thanks to Dominion we had a gym session on the night before bock NYC, and as I'm too busy to actually edit the video I just cut out the space where nothing was happening and here it is.
the FL one's wouldn't work the Poweriser bearing assembly has a larger diameter than the FL set up, and 7's feet would do the job, but copper pipe was free from my basement and importing 7's feet is not.
don't bother with the pro energies, they're still prototypes, and from when I tested them, they give about the same height as S-rex X but are harder to compress.
Good to hear you had pads, sounds like a sucessful first day of bocking.
to answer your questions:
#1 Calf pad is usless and doesn't touch most people's calfs don't worry about it.
#2 not really sure what you mean, if you're saying the bocks twists in relation to your leg, you then say that its tied to tightly to do that. Need clearer explination.
#3 The foot plates are slightly different they have a straigher edge for the inside of the foot. Also the bindings should be fitted such that the ratchets are on the outside of your feet so they don't hit each other and accidentally loosen. This is a left foot plate, you can see the straight edge on the top:
#4 practice practice practice, as you get comfortable with smaller hops your confidence will grow. That's really the only way to do it.
#5 its normal for people to think one spring is softer than the other, this is most likely caused by one of your legs being stronger than the other, or if you are jumping on one foot often you prefer one leg causeing that spring to have more wear. Just concentrate some jumping on the other stilt and your leg will get stronger and the spring will even out the wear.
