ARGHHHHHHH

I am sitting here, packed and ready, with 15 minutes before I leave the house and I actually have butterflies. They aren't just fluttering around in my stomach, they are partying and I can see the bruising from the outside!!

It's alright for you lot, you do this often, but for me, this is a first.  I will get to meet others with these wierd leg extensions.  Will they be as odd and as silly as I am ?  Will they too be experiencing the butterflies ? Are their butterflies the same colour as mine ??  Are they just coming to see the silly woman who thought she could do this, fall over ?

Mother Adam's parents scare me the most.  We have to make a good impression, or they might not ever allow us anywhere near him again !  And who will organise our meets so carefully if that happens Huh?  *wail*

How does one behave when one meets the parents ?

I am falling apart here..... Why did I feed all my snakes ? I need a snakey cuddle. Sad

52  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Australian Powerbocking Association - looking squinty eyed... on: September 26, 2007, 11:52:39 PM
It is the fact that the company selling the product is the one that has created the association that bothers me.

I have nothing against the website, or against the people.  I just think that if they want a real association, it should be removed from the branding and the product plugs.

Just my gripe.

54  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Australian Powerbocking Association - looking squinty eyed... on: September 26, 2007, 09:17:38 AM
OK, am I a little paranoid here, or does anyone else think it is a little odd ?

Airrunners has created the Australian Powerbocking Association.

http://airrunner.com.au/

http://airrunner.com.au/powerbocking.html

I don't know how 'correct' this is, but it really makes my teeth grind.  Fair enough, Bocking is not big in Oz, yet, but to have a company create the Incorporated Association, and have as the Association T Shirt, their own logo, well, it all makes me look at this a little squinty eyed.

They even have incentives, like: drag a friend along and earn points to spend at 'thebockshop' (which isn't even online yet).

I thought there were rules about incorporating an association (it had to be non profit organisation or something), and how can promoting a single product, not be breaking those rules?  (Although, I don't expect anyone to be buff on Aussie club incorporation rules. :p )

Can anyone else see where I am coming from here ? Or am I a little paranoid and I am the only one that can see this as wrong ? This appears to me to be blatant advertising for a particular product.

 Huh Undecided

Cookie... is it any worse that Rex for the dog, Beau for the horse ?

They all suck.

Semtex, now that's a cats name.  The thing was psychotic, explosive and you never saw it coming.

Anyone want to send me a Jar of Bramble Jelly ?

We can't get it at the supermarket anymore as people are too terrified of Mad Cow disease. Sad

Mod overhaul...

Sounds pretty typical.  Could always take up Quilting to keep the fingers busy I guess.... no... I don't think so! Wink

Yes, the Hovercraft is an ATV, water, snow, sand, you name it.  As long as the substrate supports the air cushion, the hovercraft can travel over it. Smiley
