151  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: WARNING Up-Wing is dangerous (no joke) please read before purchase on: August 23, 2007, 11:01:46 AM
The only reason someone would want to remain anon, is if their usual identity would naturally come with a little skeptisicm when critisizing other brands.

This doesn't make me feel any more or less secure.  I would rather hear this information from a well known board member, not someone claiming to be one.

Waste of a thread.

Nikki, send your brother wishes and greetings from down under.  Tell him he and his pancreas are globally famous now. Wink

But i cant quite work out how a knife can be picked out of a dishwasher ( cutlery bit is normally low down) and then end up implanted in  the middle of a 10 yo's back?

I can't work out how that only earns one day off school ?

Kids have no fear.  Keep her going and she will be a force to be reckoned with, and soon!

Good on you Martha, give him some competition. Cheesy

Tundrah Huh

Given the evidence supplied, as was mentioned before by someone else, this thread is totally pointless then!

158  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Sprog on: August 17, 2007, 03:18:58 PM
Reading this thread from a newbies perspective, I note:

The claim is made that Sprog is gay.
Tundrah declares his love for Sprog in an 'in the closet way' with a big red scrolly post.
Sprog is photographed with companions of questionable dress sense.
Tundrah claims to have Sprogs back, (a classic gay position held there).
Sprog keeps trying to change the subject.

I don't think the original thread question remains anymore.  However, I have to ask a new question...

Who is gay ?  The person who gives or the person who receives ?

Incidently, I am not from Essex, do not know Becky and my gayness is not in question. Wink

I worry about eBay though.

For starters, the bulk stuff on there is Chinese.  And if you happen to find something of 'quality' (note the inverted comma's there Wink ), likely they have been used and not cared for and may have an expired 'use by date' in terms of age, abuse and damage. Multiple people may have tried them and fallen over in them, parts may be damaged and springs might need replacement anyway.

If I am going to have a damaged pair of bocks, let it be me that caused the damage to them. !!

Gee, I am a negative Nellie aren't I ? :p

I have bitten the bullet and started looking overseas.

XarnuSonci, do you live online when off your bocks ? Cheesy

Quote from: XarnuSonci

AKA they saw the bad press flying locusts were getting and are trying to hide from it by selling "brandless" stilts

My thoughts too but I wanted clarification.

Thanks for the help yet again, looks like I am once more back to the drawing board. :p

Me again Smiley

I contacted a company here in Aus that replied with a photo and the comment...

'We looked around and found our stilts to be good quality. They are Chinese but we ordered them without a brand so that we wouldn't be subject to the arguments that are happening overseas.'

To my untrained eye, they appear to 'look' ok.  I can't see rivets or dags as complained about by other people.  But honestly, I don't know what I am looking for to see a bad pair as opposed to a pair that will suit me at entry level.

I have attached the photo they supplied.

Comments and suggestions, brand if known, would be handy.

Thanks

Wrasse

Well bugger. Sad That's not what I was hoping to read.  But I do think it was pretty much what I was expecting. *pout*

Thanks for the input.  Looks like I will have to be a big girl and be patient while I keep looking.
