331  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Correct Weight on: March 06, 2007, 11:46:24 PM
Hi guys,

Be interesting to hear your opinion on this one. I have the M100 model of my powerisers which take up to 15 stone. I weight 14.5 so am well within the limit.

However I can bottom out on these fairly easily. Would it be advisable to get the next weight up? I can see it being slightly harder to initially bounce from nothing, but once I get going I could go much higher. Because where I was bottoming out before these springs would be a little tougher.

Is this a common thing, or is it recommended?

Cheers,

Ian

how do you get into parkour? like how do you start out?

get a pair of trainers and start running around jumping over things, its as easy as that.

If the gym is in Portsmouth i live 5 minutes out! I'm currently injured but could I come and have a look at you go for 5 minutes? Didn't know there was a proper gym in Portsmouth.

Yeh there is, but it is kind of a private session. I would love to open it to loads of poweriser people but unfortunately we cant at the moment!

Urbantricker the two side flips in a row was wicked, have never seen that combo before.
Great work guys but as I said think about the pressure on the side of your knee before someone gets really hurt.

cheers, at the moment I can't feel any sort of pressue on my knees on a sideflip. I am pretty confident with it now so I am not going to stop doing them, Ill just have to be careful.

Looking on your site though you are all Gymnasts???
Well none of us have ever done gymnastics, but we didnt pick up the powerisers and flip on them with no experience. We both have been doing parkour / street stunts / Urban Tricking (www.urbantricking.com) for a few years and that meant it was easier for us to pick this up

Really nice video! But take it easy with the sideflips, they are dangerous for your knees. How are your knee btw?

My knees fine (I didnt injure it the video, Timmo is recovering well. Do you mean they are dangerous, as in, if you land wrong? I have been looking around on the Internet and came across some calf straps or something, but they do not deliver to the UK, they seem likely to be less dangerous for my knees!
