Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: *The Bockers Joke Thread*

Two bockers were trying out differant safety precautions when one decieded to put a rubber steering wheel down the front of his pants. The other bocker commented " What's up with the steering wheel man?" The other one replied "Argh! Its driving me nuts with every bounce!" Hope I can remain in the forum after that one!

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: cheap 7 league boots?

My friend has some he got them from the 7League site on the front page. There more money than the others but if you saw them close up you would know why. You have to get what you can afford at the time, I bought fly jumpers but am saving for a pair of 7's. Its cool to get whatever you can I think all the makes are great fun.

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: All spring brands tested

I would doubt the springs are carbon fibre, although the material is light and very strong. It does not mean it has the same spring caracteristics as a fibre glass resin compound. Some people get confused when describing the springs and call them carbon fibre because it just sounds better. I have worked with carbon in my job in the car industry so i now a little bit about this.

Powerising / Practising / Re: standing up

You can get to the stage where you don't have to move around so much with a little practise. When I first started it was like tap dancing trying to stand still.

Powerising / Injuries / Re: Back Injury

If your back is hurting with your bocks take a few days off. Your muscles will grow stronger after a few days rest and you can then you can get a better experience. Look at it like this - If you try to do 10 press ups when your not used to it your chest hurts like hell!! Eventually your body gets stronger and compensates.

I will get my friend Jimmy500 to do a post for you next week with his comments as an owner of the T Rex. My weight is 85KG and I can not bottom the springs of his. I have used his twice and for what its worth if i was buying again i would go 7's. But be pleased with what ever you get its all bocking and great fun.

I hope you eventually get your risers but at the end of the day there are dangers as with any sport. Protective clothing should be worn but that doesn't mean your not going to ever hurt yourself. The risers help to take impact but that doesn't mean your never going to hurt your knees or back. But then again you can't wrap yourself in cotton wool and never try anything new. I'm sure any company you buy them from will be pleased to know that your dads a lawyer - I bet the sellers are checking there terms and conditions as we speak..He He.

I am interested in your results with 7League and Powerskip. My friend has 7's T Rex and I have M90 Chinese Fly Jumpers. My springs on M90 are fully broken in and my friend has had T rex for 3 weeks. I still like my M90 and just enjoy the sport but the differance in performance between the two is surprising. Higher bounce and smoother operation, but he did pay £45 more for them than me.

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: new sellers?

I'm looking into getting some new risers and was looking at the new Poweriser with the new knee loop or 7League / Powerskip (If money will allow). But I noticed something on the 7League site called customer charter. Its kind of relevant to this thread and may be worth a look if anyones interested.

I think we will see more in the shops next year as they become more popular. I know some of the big stores are looking at the brands available but there going to have to be confident that they get at least a year without too many problems with quality of the stilts. Reading some of the posts about quality after only a couple of months / weeks use I think the're going to have to tread carefully (Excuse the pun). Its a bit easier to walk away on Ebay. Anyway I vote online...

LOL, I was looking at that site on the main link from Google the springs were described as carbon fibre he he. The getting started info is ripped straight from the 7Leagues web site the videos are Powerskip / Velocity - But these are the real article!!
