451  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Nolathane / Polyurethane / Rubber (car suspension for my stilts) on: January 30, 2007, 01:05:28 PM
They are like a bearing with a special covering that takes away friction off the metal to metal contact point (It is a very simple fitting but makes the stilts very quiet and smooth). I am going to try to take one off my 7's and see if it fits into the frame of my fly jumpers as an experiment. I will also see if the rubber foot fits the fly Jumper frame as the rubber on the foot of the 7's is unbelievably hard wearing.  Wink

Locky, your link to that poor inline skater says it all for me. It doesn't matter how confident you are on bocks, it only takes one bad fall. Wink

Andy, The most important protection in my opinion is a good quality wrist guard as it is normally your hands that hit the ground first. For elbow and knees I like something that is light and flexible so that you can bend your legs easily for grabs and split jumps. The ones on the competition of this site are the ones I have and seem good. The wrist guards fit tightly and the plastic armour at the front is strong. Wink

Any good quality skate shop will sell them on the high street

I think you drill holes through the sole of your shoe and bolt it to the frame work using a fixing kit. I will email Alan Sport and ask Mr Boeck what type of shoe is best. Wink

Martin, Did they say what date they will launch the S Rex 7-leagueboots (Or are they still being tested) so that I can buy the springs?  Tongue
456  Powerising / Videos / Re: Me bottoming out on: January 28, 2007, 08:02:55 PM
If you went for T rex boots at a 70 KG body weight I can tell you that you would need legs like Arnold Schwarzenegger to bottom out the springs. And if you could you'd need a parachute on your way down. LOL  Grin
457  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: PowerSkip Pro on: January 28, 2007, 07:50:37 PM
I had a look at the Power Skip Pro a few weeks ago because I would like to get some in the summer. You have to connect your own shoe to the aluminium frame work. Once your sports shoe is connected it stays on all the time unless you deciede to chage it if it starts to get a bit smelly. Grin This helps to reduce weight and also is required from a safety point of view with the moving foot plate. Wink

It means that the stilts only fit one wearer, but in my opinion the fixed shoe is important from a safety point of view with this design, especially if a strap fails when your running. Shocked
458  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: The new Knee Brace. on: January 28, 2007, 01:29:30 PM
I think that the problem may be that the German Poweriser company is now offering the new improved version of the Original Poweriser rather than the old version that is currently sold in the UK. The German company is only leisensed to sell in there own country. Once the UK sellers have got rid of there old stock my guess is the new version will soon be available.

The velocity stilt style knee brace is an upgarde that comes with the new Poweriser version. I have been told that the new PoweriSer is much better than the old version in several areas. It shouldn't be confused with the Chinese version and I think its going to be a similar price to the 7League boots. Wink
459  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Adult Pro-Jump Stilts now £150 | Junior Pro-Jump Stilts now £130 on: January 28, 2007, 11:06:21 AM
Its advertised on there sponsored google link. Wink
460  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Adult Pro-Jump Stilts now £150 | Junior Pro-Jump Stilts now £130 on: January 28, 2007, 10:48:31 AM
Hey Locky, If you do a google search on Pro Jump you will see that they are actually advertising the stilts at £150 as a new lower price and not a special offer! Shocked

Maybe one of there major resellers like Currys with there (special gaurantee) will also be offering them at this price to stay competative. A couple of my friends want to get involved in the sport so it may be worth emailing them. Wink
461  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Powerising on THE BBC Jonathan Ross on: January 27, 2007, 09:01:53 AM
I was just wondering if Brucie from the Pro Jumo display team was actually using Pro-Jumps or PoweriSers as all the sellers of stilts seem to now be claiming
"as seen on Johnathan Ross" LOL. Cheesy
462  Powerising / Videos / Re: Powerizer Pros from XtremeImportz.com on: January 26, 2007, 11:11:21 PM
I don't think any of the suppliers in the UK that sell stilts from the Fly Jumper company in china were doing the Pro yet. If you wait all the suppliers will have them soon with there own names on, I would guess Pro-Jump will probably be selling them the cheapest. Wink

I might be wrong though. Grin

463  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: All spring brands tested on: January 26, 2007, 10:15:54 PM
Hey Chuck thats a shame, maybe you should contact them to see if they have any more updates.
464  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Adult Pro-Jump Stilts now £150 | Junior Pro-Jump Stilts now £130 on: January 26, 2007, 08:13:28 PM
I guess it makes the sport more accessible to more people at that price so good luck to Pro-Jump and there promotion of the sport. But with my business hat on at those prices I wouldn't want to be one of there resellers LOL Grin
465  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Adult Pro-Jump Stilts now £150 | Junior Pro-Jump Stilts now £130 on: January 26, 2007, 07:56:47 PM
I agree, but surely these Pro-Jump guys will start some pricing wars with this offer. I'm in business myself but with that much differance in ££. Thats about £75 cheaper than some of the other sites are charging for the same thing, even Pro Jumps own trade dealers LOL.

Good for the buyer I suppose. Wink
