31  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: New Model - JollyJumper (Former Upwings) on: April 05, 2008, 08:16:42 AM
I'm not commenting on them as a stilt but they need a name change like yesterday and some kind of extreme image makeover, deffo lose the pirate.. Jolly Jumper, it sounds like your not allowed to wear them unless you own a romper suit and a plastic sword.

People may think i'm taking the piss but its good advice really, i'm not trying to be the Suzanne and Trinny of the Bocking world.. LOL  Tongue

33  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Swebounce S Rex EVO test results on: April 04, 2008, 10:00:08 AM
I am posting this new topic as Wolfgang in Austria asked Mattias to carry out some independant tests on the S Rex type R EVO recently. I think this is important information for the community as the tests were completely independant and also show a direct comparison between the S Rex and Powerskip from an expert user point of view. This is Mattias own words from his email below.

Swebounce Test

Hi Wolfgang.

I did some testing with the 7-League boots yesterday.

I will give you the facts from the test.

I measured the performance compared to my powerskips by jumping and touching the wall.

With the 7-league I jumped 4.28m high with my hand. If you then subtract my length of 2.80 with the stilts on and my arm up you get the height of the jump alone to be 148cm.

I did the same jump with the powerskips and got 4.30m high - the 2.80m Gives the powerskips a height of 150cm

I also tried to do some somersaults over a bar and broke my record by a lot. I didn't have time to try with the powerskips again so it was not a test between the stilts. But anyway my old record from like 5 years ago with powerskips was 2.35m My new record was 2.60m with the 7-league. I think that's a world record:)

I find that the 7-Leagues take a little bit more force to get to the maximum bounce.

The bindings are the best one's I have ever had.

The knee bar gets a big plus for the new metal buckle but I still prefer my cuffs because I don't need to wear any kneepads.

I hope you like the feed back and I'm truly impressed with the performance of the stilt.

I think you really live up to your motto "made by jumpers for jumpers".

Sincerely Mattias

35  Powerising / Problems / Re: warranty for springs?????? on: March 31, 2008, 04:31:53 PM
My opinion is it just seems strange that they don't just supply a new pair of springs in a case like this where there was an obvious fault. Its just not worth the bad publicity for the sake of a couple of springs, bit of common sense really.. Sometimes with a little bit of customer service it can result in more sales from reccomendation rather that bad feeling, thats just the way i look at it.  Roll Eyes
36  Powerising / Videos / Re: Skyrunners suck. on: March 29, 2008, 10:04:51 AM
Its not nice when people steal your hard work.. It's happened to me a few times with websites so i know exactly how you feel. I honestly believe that the Company that makes Skyrunners is one of the most dishonest, unscrupulous companies involved in Jumping stilts. These all  the reasons i can think of feel free to add to the list if you want.

1. They knick other peoples videos without permission
2. They knick photos without permission
3. They manufacturer cheap copies and call them Powerskips, confusing newbies into buying something there not and ripping off the inventor.
4. They supply stilts illegally to all patent protected countries ripping off the inventor
5. I don't think they have ever thought of one single original idea of there own, everything to do with them is a copy.
6. They upset Mattias and thats hard to do  Shocked because he such a nice guy.. Wink

44  Powerising / Problems / Re: Worries over general integrity and durability of 7Meilensteifel Pro Frames on: March 18, 2008, 09:53:17 AM
I have spoken directly with Wolfgang about this problem yesterday and Martin is right we will get Bobmans stilts independantly tested. We will not walk away from the problem and i have also spoken with Bobman (Kevin) personally to appologise.

The frame moudings on 7's are very thick and the quality of the alloy and bearings was one of the reason why i decieded to sell the stilts in first place. The diamond holes have absolutely no effect on the moulding strength. I have never replaced a frame moulding part on any stilts i've sold before this.. Its horrible to see something you believe in fail like that so no excuse. All we can do is hold our hands up, solve the problem and look after our customer Bobman..
45  Powerising / Problems / Re: Worries over general integrity and durability of 7Meilensteifel Pro Frames on: March 17, 2008, 03:38:46 PM
I'm very concerned to see those pictures i will be contacting Bobman to sort this out immeadiately. Of all the pairs i have sold i have never seen a frame break like this and it must be a faulty moulding. I can only appologise and say that i will replace his T Rex stilts with a new pair. The failure rate where a repair is required has been about 1% for the 7's i've sold so far but i'm really genuinely sorry Bobman.
