31  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Air Mattress Use on: February 10, 2008, 01:58:52 AM
I doubt recoil would be an issue with a half-inflated-or-less airbed due to the weight of you and the bocks and the tiny area all that weight is applyed to with bocks but being honest id say that the bed will break after about 5 mins worth of regular landings regardless of how little air is in there - it might work longer in theory but when was theory ever practical  Roll Eyes - tbh youd be better off with just a couple of regular matresses wouldent you?

But hey if it works ive got a king size airbed in my shed, so keep us informed if you try it  Grin

Thanks for the reply, I have indeed used the search function but for the most part its just 1 or 2 people giveing their views, Id like a better range of bockers to reply than on previous posts so I can get a general consensus and make the right choices Smiley

Hi guys, im from the Isle of Wight so probably very few bockers on this side however im not really wanting for company, just want to get going - bringing us to the problem; I have not got any clue about all this bock branding nor do I know much about which weight ranges are; in reality the most appropriate.

Me:
Weight: 101kg - 222 pounds
Height: 6' 2"
Build: Heavy/Fit/Broad across the shoulder, not so much at the waist.

Experience:
No acrobatic experience, fitness training.

Predicted Usage:
Walking and running for the most part, but if i really get into it ill be wanting to set up a group over on the island, and learn some tricks  Grin

Id like some simple answers from as many people as possible:

Which Brand is best value for money? (Im by no means rich however i will not skimp for the sake of a few quid.)

Which weight range should I go for?

And finally what do you make of the 7's S-Type R/X that are coming out compared with what you would consider comparable stilts? (they are the ones that seem to be midway between those enormously expensive ones and the cheaper models)

Thanks for any replys.
