1  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Fly Jumper on: November 02, 2006, 08:54:57 AM
Hi,

We should not associate Fly Jumper with Pro-Jump / Poweriser  as these companies all have the right to sell there own product where as Fly Jumpers are illegal to sell over here.

Think this adds to the confusion over which brands to buy or who has the rights

I collected my Pro-Jumps from www.Pro-Jump.co.uk and they are excellent.

2  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Patent Laws? on: August 31, 2006, 05:09:40 PM
The German company invented this product and therfore they registered the patent rights to this type and style of product so it still covers various designs.

They now have legal rights to collect royalties from anyone selling this kind of product and they also have the power to stop people selling them.

They only allow certain stilts to be sold (2 people in the UK with the rights poweriser and pro jump) as they want to keep quality control to a high level so it does not lower the quality of their powerskips.

If you invented an item i'am sure you would not appreciate every one selling copies of your design and making your item look cheap.  Wink

4  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: pro-jump compared to powerizers on: August 31, 2006, 12:16:43 PM
powerizers have the trademark for that name the same way pro-jump have their name trademarked.

Poweriser and Pro-Jump are the only legal risers in the UK with the rights from the german inventor.

so really they are the same product with the rights to sell but with different names.

i think pro-jump buy in larger quantities so this is why they sell for lower prices

anyway im no longer stiltless so im happy hopping around - will get some pictures on shortly

Hi Skippy,

This is not my website, this is the info i found out after numerous enquiries before purchasing and when i received the stilts.

The reason is for my order all the labels had been re-worked (modified) to Pro Jump.  ie. the logo on the rubber foot unit was ground off and the rubber logo was taken off and pro-jump riveted in it's place.

I spoke to them about this and was told that the manufacturers had sent them someone else's logo which is why they had to remove any trace of this in order not to confuse poeple with the 2 brands.  Think it has something to do with the name rights.  They said the next deliveries will have original pro-jump markings

Hi XarnuSonci,

Will get some pictures when i get home from work

From what i know they are from the same factory as powerisers but they have created a new trademark of pro-jump.

I have bought some direct from pro-jump and they are very good quality, i think the other sites like ghost racing just buy from them and sell on.

They have a site which is still being updated at http://www.pro-jump.co.uk but you can still buy from it
