Locky You'v just about said it all there, and we all wish Jelly and Soul Rancher a speedy recovery,
Locky, it may be an idea to post a list of checks for meets, like the use of sliding slip matts you mentioned, and the role of ground crew, there are many more, it could be that not all people know the techneque that we use,but if it was made in simple and in easy steps with no short cuts it may be an answer for the short term that could be a help for others, and groups that are just starting up i think they would realy respect such a list,
i hope that none of your or my coments are taken the wrong way by anyone, if so i am sorry and i apologise, and nobody has the right to tell another what they should or not do, its just that you can't teach someone experience, but you can share it, and like you said, its for there own protection and the good of the sport.

Hey mate, i havn't had chance to get to Liverpool in a while with work etc, but there are a few of us coming over soon, my Mum just moved into a new house so thats one rason i have to come over, plus were doing an event in L pool very soon, something you might want to join in with i'l pm you about it,
there are some Bockers in Warrington, and there are more in Lverpool but im not sure if they are on the forum, i met them and told them about you, i thought they might have been intouch, also there are some on the other side of the Mersey, Birkenhead, Southport,
Bury isn't to far from you and i'l have a word with a group there they like to travel,
Try and organise another meet, and with this in mind im sure you will have a good one, i'l have a think about some stuf for you,
ps, for those that don't know Liverpool, there are some great bocking areas, near the pear head, and Albert Dock, plus there is a TV studio at the Alber Dock, im sure that would get a view.
Do take Lockys advise, thats a great idea, im sure that will work. i don't know if you have a name yet, but, The Liverpool Bockers sounds good to me,

coachgeo, that is a realy good theory, i'l tel this to my surgeon next time i see him, as have to have check ups every few months, he did say that he would prefare me not to do stilts, but he also said, whatever it is you doing keep doing it, he is a cool doctor,he saved my life, Dr Bem at B,R,I, Bradford,i do consider myself to be quit fit, especialy for my age, i did have that light at the tunnel experience if you know what i mean, and it made me more determined to enjoy everything and do things i want to do to the full,
anyway, Coachgeo, thanks for that coment, you'v even got me talking about it, which is normaly hard for me to do, chears,
sorry for getting of the subject of the thread.

i do understand were your coming from, i didn't realy want to get into a debate about it etc, but like dark night, i hade some near mis events, whilst in the army i nearly lost my right leg, spent a year in hospital. Also since 2000 iv been waiting for a knee op, i have cartlidge prob, so i have a slight limp, but i learnd to hide it,'
then in 2003 i needed life saving surgery on the left side of my head, i was told i would prob not make it, 80/20 against, and if i did the side efects could be bad, i did make it, but i now have nearly no hearing or sight on my left side, and a poor balance gland on my left side, i find it hard to walk in a straight line and hard to balance, i can never swim again, and so on,
with out my stilts on i am quit restricted, but i should'nt even be able to balance on stilts never mind do what i do, the doctors are baffled so am i, for some reason no body knows why i can do what i can, but i can, and becouse of my stilts i have the chance to show that i am still fit and able to perform at a good level,
with that in mind, should i not compete with anybody who doesnt have my disability, or take my stilts of and just watch,
again please, i don't like talking about all that i only spoke to explain my view, with my stilts i can perform like anybody els, sorry for going on,
i hope this guy has a great time at the evnts, and once again i give him my full suport.

Kender, i cant realy see people going to that xtreme mate, or i hope they wouldn't, but i know a few people that have said, in a case of despaire or amputation, they would have bock legs etc permanently fixed, again this would be a last resort for such people not a choice, and i don't want to get into a debate or argument etc over this,
i have worked with people with disabilities even shared a hospital ward with for a year in my army days, and our sport is something that they can adapt to, its something that i feel strong about, and i would give my time to help out with anyone with a disability that wanted to bock, for fun or sport.

I think its great that this guy can compete, i gues he will have certain points deducted etc, to ballance things out,and im sure that others will follow and in a shot time ther will be games and competitions that people like him can take part in, and even compete with us all, i bet he could give us all a good competition.
in my oppinion this is just what our sport needed, this will realy put us on the map,
i would love to meet this guy, he has my full suport.

Well, i fell realy bad on Friday, my own fault, vaulted over a 5ft wall, then coming back over i lost consentration, clipped my feet, went down head first on to a stone wall, then smashed my hip on the floor,
just been for xray, and s--t, iv got a little fracture in my hip, and a cut on my head,
i had all my usual protection on so it could have been a lot worse but i wish i'd had my impact shorts on, i'v got lazy and stoped wearing them, so its my own fault.

Yea me too, and yep i wear the body armour top most of the time, i have a large boys size, which makes it skin tight, this keeps it from bobing about when im jumping, its realy light, and i don't realize its on me after a while, it gives full uper body protection and i swear by it, you do need gloves though, and a helmet would keep your head safe, but i don't wear one as it gets in the way, but i should realy.
