Sounds good sprog but I think I might have to practise for a week or two first.  I wouldn't want to slow you up or anything.  How long have you been 'bocking'?

I was actually thinking about going into Poole highstreet in the evening as it is nice and flat and ther are plenty of things to jump.

I've had mine for 3 months now... I've yet to get bored or run out of ideas of things to do.

The high street is really nice and smooth, I've been down there once before (it was busy though) and I found it as good as carparks, if not better as the brick surface offers more grip... In falkland square you can use the benches to climb up onto the 1m high blocks and jump off them, that's a laugh!

I'm 28 and I live in Bournemouth (middle bottom of the UK)

You live in Bournemouth? Wicked, I live in Poole (and I'm 17 lol)
Maybe one day, once you've got your risers, we could meet up?
4863  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Powerisers = Chicks on: September 21, 2006, 12:40:27 PM
Seriously? That`s well out of order.

I wonder if you can do karate kicks in powerisers. I bet that would cause some pain.
Yeah, my house is pretty nearby a council estate and they're always out on their hairdryers. I try to stay well away from it when I'm out bocking!
Here's a pic from google earth to show you (Because i'm bored in my free period, sorry about the shoddy quality)

I stick to where i've painted blue... Back on topic, my routes seem to contain lots of girls... Problem is they're all too scared to talk to me when i'm up on my risers, they all run away!
Is that  Sad or Cheesy ?

Falling on your face is a Daddy and falling on your back is a Mummy... dont know if thats skater slang but i heard it a few times for PRing... hehe daddy backflip.
I've never heard that. It's a strange term for falling over lol...
I call falling over a "wipeout" (like used in surfing and skateboarding), and I've seen this used to describe falling over on PR's quite a bit.

360's, 180's and stuff are pretty obvious.
Any changes to the risers are "mods"
Using risers is known as "Bocking", or "PowerBocking", named after the inventor, Mr. Bock
The piece your foot goes on is the "Footplate"
The pieces that hold your feet in are "Bindings"

Um, I don't know what else to put!
4865  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Ordering 7meilenstiefel (7 league boots) on: September 21, 2006, 12:09:34 PM
I'd be interested in a set of their springs, but i don't need another set of frames.

Me too, but I live in the UK so can't participate in this order  Sad
Hopefully he'll ship to the UK without a bulk order...
I've just emailed them to find out about ordering to the UK, so if anyone in the UK is looking into getting a set, watch this space! Wink

lol I agree, chavs are really annoying. I've had them try to push me off, ram me with their bikes and yell abuse...
I had 2 go by on hair-dryers-on-wheel yesterday and laugh/heckle as I was just walking along. They got the shock of their life as I sprinted along beside them yelling abuse back!
4867  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: All spring brands tested on: September 19, 2006, 09:27:56 PM
Hey martin, I was jsut wondering how you would go about fitting Powerskip Springs to powerisers?
Mine are now taking a fair beating from work and I'm thinking about getting the powerskip springs when my current ones come to the end of their life. I would like them for the extra bounce and extended lifetime, but I can't afford a set of Powerskips, but I can afford just the springs!
Thanks in advance, it's something i'm really interested in doing
4868  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Something I noticed. on: September 19, 2006, 09:13:42 PM
from the kids 'have you got any legs?' iv only been asked that twice
I've had that too. One guy was asking me about them when I was waiting outside a shop where my friend works, and he managed to convince his wife that my legs didnt actually work and I needed these extensions to replace the movement of my ankles!
A lot of people seem to think they're CGI on the advert for some reason...

Has anybody had cars stop and the people inside ask you to show them how they work, and then they try to race you whilst you're running?
4869  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Calf Pad on: September 19, 2006, 08:14:39 PM
I think I might have discovered the true reason risers have calf pads... It seems nobody's legs can actually touch them whilst they're strapped in, and therefore they're a little pointless...
Well, earlier on I was running along and the velcro on my right leg came undone due to it being totally saturated with sweat (eww! lol).  Because of this, my leg moved back a bit, and my calf rested on the calf pad. My momentum forwards kept my leg against the pad until I came to a stop, and then the riser wobbled around on my legs. So my theories are as follows:

1) It's there for if the velcro comes undone. Your leg rests against it and you can carry on until you find a suitable place to stop.

2) The pad also stops your leg touching the metal framework at the back, thus stopping you harming you legs on the bolts and things back there!

So I believe that your leg isn't meant to be touching it all the time, it's just there as a safety precaution... Do you guys agree?
4870  Powerising / UK / Re: poweriser owners meet?? on: September 19, 2006, 08:08:07 PM

4871  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Lukey's Poweriser Diary - Essex, UK on: September 19, 2006, 08:05:21 PM
Whoa! Do you have enough people on powerisers?!

The glowstick idea is cool, I like that, might have to try it out myself...
4872  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Powerisers in shops. on: September 19, 2006, 09:03:14 AM
I think they're very rare in shops, due to the reasonably high price tag and the currently not-so-high demand for them. Maybe if loads of people get into them and start asking, shops might begin stocking them...
4873  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Ringwood Carnival on: September 19, 2006, 09:01:06 AM
Yeah, I found it weird too rrcraig... I'm not entirely sure why they think you can in America...
I might take my risers next time I go to the US, and see if I can flip there! Cheesy
4874  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Something I noticed. on: September 18, 2006, 07:01:17 PM
I've noticed that many cars slow down too, with everyone inside gawking at you... Yes this causes traffic to slow down, and probably cause less accidents, but you've got to remember the driver is looking at you rather than the road! That might cause an accident!
4875  Powerising / Practising / Re: What's your favourite thing to do on your Powerisers? on: September 18, 2006, 06:58:11 PM
Running backwards is scary when you start, but then you get used to it. You just have to keep a lookout for anyting coming up behind you!

My favourite thing to do it jump as far and as high as possible. I love jumping things that I wouldn't be able to do normally, it's such a cool experience!
