...btw is it really a sport, isn't sport defined as something competitive, hence why parkour isn't sport but freerunning is?
Dawesome wrote a big article on this for uni....

There was also another discussion that I can't find, and yes it will BE a sport, after we get www.ukpowerbocking.co.uk running and into talks with people Smiley

Where has your fear of breaking something come from?
They do not go *SNAP* and you drop to the floor, they slowly break down over time and get softer and softer in one spot until the gently give way. I've seen tundraH break at least 10 springs and none of them have snapped outright.
33  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Help Ordering A Perfect Spring In The USA on: June 28, 2008, 02:02:25 PM
but is there actually any difference in the frames
None at all, hence why I questioned it. All FlyingLocust frames are the same, no matter the spring size.

Those are bad  Huh
Sprog their Dead ! LOL
They're not mine, they're tundraH's and XS' old poweriSer springs, and tundraH's old Carbon Fibre springs. About May/June 2007.

7Leagues springs do fit ProJumps Smiley

As for taping it, put an innertube over the spring then tape ontop of that. Will work much better than cling film Lips Sealed

Basically, put it this way, your springs are fine. If you take any covers off they're going to look like that, when the look like THIS then it's bad.

Thank you ricc Tongue
40  Powerising / Problems / Re: moving spring??? on: June 26, 2008, 08:36:09 PM
Well they are technically. But they're built into the spring, and held in place with the 2mm plastic covering. Basically, they ain't gonna budge.
41  Powerising / Problems / Re: moving spring??? on: June 26, 2008, 07:57:35 PM
...or the infamous t-shaped piece of plastic isn't missing if it's movement in that direction, just replace it with cardboard or somesuch if it has
Not part of 7's, Poncho has S-Rex's
42  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Foot plate question on: June 26, 2008, 07:57:08 PM
Am i wrong in thinking the PowerSkips have rotating footplates?
Only PowerSkip Pro do Smiley
43  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Foot plate question on: June 26, 2008, 07:24:56 PM
Does the Poweriser 07/08/advance model have a bar or strap.  Was it the one that costs around $500?
Yep, PoweriSer 07/08/Advanced have the calf cuffs rather than kneebars Smiley

I'm pretty sure the PoweriZer Pro is a sub-par model (sorry if I'm stepping on toes). correct?
Correct Smiley

that would be the PowerSkip i think? They cost about £600-£700 and are the most elite model around. If not them then i am unsure
PowerSkip still have kneebars.

Check the plastic Roller in the hoof poncho, it may have worn down. Also check that the spacer behind the spring hasn't worn.
45  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: all about flips? on: June 26, 2008, 07:21:21 PM
I'm also a bit miffed that a certain brand of people tend to learn to flip and then all they care about is performing for a crowd...to the point where they will want to bock where a crowd is. Dont get me wrong, crowd means publicity but quite often when bocking with the welshies we will seek a place 'out of the way'.

Just picking up on this part of the topic. Why miffed? Huh
Because generally it gets on the nerves of the other bockers. We really couldn't give a damn who is the best, and a lot of us feel uncomfortable performing for large crowds. We just want to have a bit of fun with friends.

Also the fact that these people also consider themselves the "best" in the group and often say this, no matter how many times other bockers say it's not about being the best.
