Hey, I've only read the first page of the post, but my mates and I all call them Bounders - there's about 10 of us, and before I bought mine I just assumed that's what they were called... no idea where the name came from though!

That looks pretty good, thanks Sprog! I am currently without sound though, so when I'm home I'll check it out properly! Heehee, I decided to mod my bocks the tiniest bit today... I heard people tape their knee bar things to stop the ground from ravaging them, so I thought I'd do the same but with fabric. Behold the campest bocks ever to grace the Earth! http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc01051rc6.jpg(well, it was either animal print or PINK FLUFF. So I chose the more offensive ) Do you reckon I should tape my springs, even though they have that yellow protecty bit on them? I've had to lower the knee bar too, although now when I bend my leg so that my thigh is parallel to the ground, the top of the spring digs in the back of my knee will this cause problems? I guess getting up could hurt, but will it be a pain when I'm jumping and things? I haven't tried bending my legs so much yet, as I'm only just learning how to walk without support (which is tricky when all you have is 10 mins a night at the mo and a tiny flat to practise in!). But it's soooooo much fun! Yay for bocking! Going to be in Cardiff Bay this Saturday (hopefully for a considerable part of the morn/afternoon) so if any Welshbockers are floating around, feel free to come mock Dave and me, two baby gazelles learning to walk!

Thanks Guess what... THEY'RE HERE!!! And they look so pretty... :') I realise though that I am still without padding... I might make it a trip to Argos this avo to get armoured up, or if not, the bike shop down the road... I'll get a relatively cheap set for now but will probs need to get better wrist pads at some point, as karate has rendered my wrists largely useless on impact. Any ideas where to get good ones? Also - what's the best way not to die on first use of Bocks? Yayayayayayayayay! *leaps*

I was amazed you guys were doing it for a whole 12 hours! No wonder you were all spent! I was talking to my mates about it later, and they were like "right. So you these dudes were jumping for 12 hours. That's nothing". I told them to jump for 5 minutes. They were knackered after 3... Match point Seriously, good work guys! Locky, I think you were the one I spoke to when you were sitting on the pillar by Virgin/Zavvis. Short dark hair, right? And thank you! I will definitely take you up on that offer - when my 7s finally get here I will probably spend all my time out of lectures in the Bay - so much space to jump around! And my bf works in the big Regus building down there so when he finishes work in the evenings it'll be bockbockbock! Incidentally, does anyone know if it's normal for parcel2go (via 7-leagueboots.co.uk) to send an order confirmation email saying this: You have been sent this email because you were listed as the delivery email address for an order at Parcel2Go.com. PLEASE NOTE: Multiple carriers can collect parcels. If you hand the parcel over to an incorrect carrier you could be liable for surcharges. The correct courier to collect should be DHL.First read I was like "sure, that's all cool", but then I read it again, and it seems as though it was meant to go to the DHL delivery man's email address. Or something. It's weird wording! And when I try to track the parcel on the DHL website it comes up with nothing. I'm wondering if I should be worried... there's half a grand's worth of bocks in that box that I can't afford to lose

Yay! *Dances* That's awesome! Ah, I actually can't wait to get my bocks now *Excitedly gnaws at crappy bock-less legs*. I've finally ordered a pair for me and a pair for the boyfriend; they should be here within a week, and then it's a sneak to his workplace where there are copious wide corridors and first aid kits(!) to learn with! Then when I can perhaps stand, to the Welshbockers! Is it gonna be an absolute pain to wear in my T-Rexes considering I'm not quite heavy enough for them? [--Sorry, I can't come in the chatroom this eve I'm afraid - I have an essay in for tomorrow that I've only just started...eek... hence why today was the perfect time to procrastinate, research and buy bocks --] woo!

Ah that's awesome! Looks like I might be spending a lot more time at home in the coming few months... (I'm at Uni in Cardiff at the mo) - although even better, are there regular meets in Cardiff? I presume there's a pretty big community of Bockers, as only this morning there was a charity jump going on in the high street Any of them on here?

Guess what... it's another question like every other one here!
Okays, 10.5 stone (147 lb / 67kg), just below the top limit for Raptors. In you guys' experiences, is it better to get Raptors or to go one ahead and get T-Rexes? They'll probably be used for jogging and small-fry tricks to begin with, but maybe after a few months some more extensive stuff...
Also, as it's the first pair, are they gonna be more difficult to learn on?
Can T-Rex weight springs be added to the Raptors later on? Not ideal, as I don't really want to be spending a fortune on Raptor springs if they'll be maxed out in less than six months... but if it means not killing my back on T-Rexes it might be worth a try...
Thanks!
