Bristol ftw!

Where abouts in Bris are you? (I might have to GoogleMap it - I've only just moved here!)

Thanks Athoul - I have le PM'd him!

We've only just got out internet (sort of) working, so haven't been online for months - what's Capital bocking? (Apologies for ignorance!)

Many sorries if similar has already been posted, but I couldn't find anything...

Does anyone know if there are any bockers around Bristol?

Annoyingly, Dave and I have just moved from Cardiff, where we barely got a chance to meet up with the Welshbockers (coz of moving/finishing Uni etc). But I guess they're probably the closest? I'm thinking we should train up to the Bay again soon if so, but if there's anyone closer who's up for regular meets that'd be awesome...

These are my bf's photos, but he doesn't have an account, so he told me to submit them on mine!

5  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Anyone interested in a pair of 7league boots (raptors) on: May 01, 2008, 10:11:43 AM
I'm up for £130 split with Chocl8 if he is Tongue
If not, I'm prepared to give you 70 for just the springs (i.e. half of your 140)

Hows about putting them on eBay? That way, all of us get a little more buying/selling protection  -  plus you may get the £140 (or more!) from other buyers.

If you set your starting bid at £100 for the full bocks, worst case scenario is that I'll buy them from you for £100 (and sell on the other bits via eBay to the highest bidder *cough*Chocl8?*cough*)

Yeah, but I'm just a weak little girl - they wouldn't bother putting them on, they'd likely just take them and run. Gotta love the Valley chavs Tongue

Hahaha, I like the barrel roll one Cheesy

I might get a t-shirt made saying "My other car's a Porsche" then on the back "and that can't backflip either".

I'm happy to give you £50 for just the springs? I think I am just too light for my T-Rex's - I was near the top of the Raptor weight-range and opted up a spring... but that was before I lost a stone. So now the Rex's are a real struggle Tongue

What d'ya say?

Gah, if I tried that they'd run off with my stilts Sad
Still, they're probs too heavy to run tooooooo far with Tongue

 Grin Same here, pretty much...
It's kinda funny when they rush up to you on their little BMXs and panic when you say it back Cheesy
11  Everything Else / General Talk / "Do a backflip!" on: April 17, 2008, 12:17:12 PM
I'm pretty sure that for every hour someone bocks, they get that shouted about 12 times.

I'm seriously considering getting a t-shirt made with some witty retort on it - any ideas?

Ouch! Hope your elbow is okay soon dude - that sounds pretty nasty! Good to hear you're not put off though Cheesy

Hahaha, nice one.  Knew it was all a hoax.
I gotta hand it to you guys though, the guys that did the charity jump on Cardiff Queen(s) Street had bloody good face masks.

Joined the forum on the Welshbockers site, I will remember to check it -hopefully more regularly than I look at this one!

And thanks Bobman - I'll probably see you down le bay this weekend if you're there!
(ps those extra arm bits should come in useful for saving yourself if it's wet and slippy)
15  Powerising / Where to Powerise / Cardiff Bay - where are you Welshbockers?! on: January 03, 2008, 03:13:54 PM
Hey, it's me, back with a new avatar Smiley  (It's my little bro though, as I've discovered it's near impossible to get good photos whilst actually on bocks...)

I've been down to the Bay lots since getting bocks (admittedly later in the evening), but still haven't seen any of you Welshbockers.  Am absolutely loving my bocks so far, though finding it quite hard work as I'm now over a stone too light for my rex's Cry
Where in the Bay do you normally meet?  Hopefully Dave and me can wander down this weekend for a bit of a jump, and it'd be good to meet up with someone else so we don't feel so tall and alone! Tongue
