Not at the moment, Skatehut may be getting some in soon which should fit... if you are brave enough try making your own like Jason did there's a tutorial on the forums, SX Nutta may be able to help you as his made one too.
Thanks Trip, its hard work building a brand up and its a shame someone is trying to rip the 7's name.
They must have thought by changing a number and a letter they will be able to get away with it for double the time poweriZer did with just their 1 letter change.
I can see from her pic she got the bolt on feet version, probly inbetween our V4 & V5, we have the rubber bit which we can do at £7.50 each or £14 for a pair inc p&p (go with royal mail so can take 1-5 days)
We do have just the rubber in stock, but I've not had the chance to put them on the website yet, I'll find the price out for you if you want. Alternatively you could phone the people who you brought them from chances are they have them in stock but haven't got them on their website too.
Sad to hear what's happened and hope you get well soon, this shouldnt happen to anyone. Best advise is to always go bocking with someone unless you are sure that you are in a very busy area with help available if you need it.
All the best and its good to see you are not giving up and letting the stupid bully boys win as thats what they are.
I was just trying to confuse MasterKing09 just a little bit more... Giving him another option to think about but maybe you have added to the confusion even more
I sometimes like to be mischevious.... If you want a really good spring the carbons are better than the fibreglass springs, but unfortunately there's not that many people who have tried both
One serious advice: I saw some comments about which stilt brand you might use. Only take the best equipment, with best frame and best joints (Powerskip, 7s or maybe latest Poweriser version)!!! I personnaly would not go for any other brand.
I don't think that's accurate, we sell Pro-Jumps which would be the same as Fly Jumpers, and the walk will be do able on these stilts, even more so if he is given a pair of V5/V6 ones (see charts for more details on stilt versions). I wouldn’t recommend the Upwing design just yet though!
We sponsored Pete Thornett on a charity walk from John O'Groats to Lands End. Over a period of 2 and a half months he used Pro-Jumps exclusively for approximately 600miles of the journey. He used the same frame throughout his journey, but he broke one of his feet at about 400miles (these feet were the V4 ones with the tight bend in them) but the feet on V6 are a much better design so they should last cube the full duration so there's no issue with frames. Pete was doing on average 15miles a day on Pro-Jumps but at times did as many as 25miles in a day.
He swapped the springs over once, not because the original pair snapped but as he felt he was starting to bottom them out and thought he was putting them under two much strain, so it was more a case of just in case!
That's true what Martin said the distance you'll be doing means your hoofs would need replacing about once a day !? You'd be a real expert in quicking changing hoofs when you've finished
Pete wasn't just walking, he was sprinting down sand dunes, going up mountains, using them on gravel, tarmac and other surfaces. The metal hoofs he had were the V4 ones which were prone to fast wear, however he said on average he was getting over 60 hours + on them, and it was only when he was on gravel / very rough ground that they tended to wear, and also if stones got stuck in the rubber there was ever a problem. He said once he put a knobly mountain bike tyre sock on them he never had a worry about them wearing.
Since then the manufacturer has taken out a longer lasting rubber sole so cube will have to wait a long time before he has to replace the foot rubber, and the style of the foot has also changed so I doubt it will break as it is a lot stronger and all the weaker points have been welded more, the metal sole is longer taking more stress and the bend is smoother. However I would still recommend putting good quality tyre socks on to help with grip esp if you will be encountering wet ground, or invest in some of Jason's hoofies.
The only part that Pete went through a lot was the plastic bushings, however surprisingly he said when we sent the brass ones they wore faster! so this is the part I would recommend you taking plenty of replacement ones. Also I would recommend you taking the time to do the following to make your bushings last longer:
It’s an impressive journey you will be undertaking, so all the best!
@cube60659 Click image to go to Pete's site, I've told him about your walk and he would be happy to answer any questions or give advise
Raptor Legs Cover insulation foam over springs with the rest of the bike tire from above... hence the name raptor legs cause of the ruff bike tire skin makes it look knarly :
