Ok, Here's how the lower joints on my risers look - not at all flush. Does anyone have a picture of how they should look for comparison? This is killing me - the sun is shining and I'm making no progress .... Grrrrr.

Hi, I've just read this whole thread with great interest because my Powerisers, which have had only about four hours use in total now (it's been raining alot here lately) have started to behave in a way that suggests a similar allignment problem. I'll do my best to describe it: Ordinarily the footplate comes down directly over the hoof but on one of my PRs it now feels slightly skewed, coming down to the left of the hoof - it's pretty disconcerting! I can't see any obvious bend and the only thing I've ever adjusted is the height of the cuffs as described earlier in this post. Looking at Bills comments and the the way that Chuck's lower joint has an inward bend to it, it would appear that something similar has happened to my PRs. I'll try and get some pictures up but in the meantime has anyone had this Skewing effect happen?

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Spare springs in the UK??
|
on: April 30, 2008, 11:46:08 AM

Hi, I've googled and scoured the posts here but I still can't find where to buy some new springs for my Powerisers. Matt, I've been trying to get poweriser-uk.com but it's either been taken down or having problems because the page won't load and the spare parts list you posted doesn't seem to be there anymore ... Any ideas? I'd be very grateful for any clues. Sorry if the answer is among the posts somewhere and I've missed it - I did look. Thanks in advance people

Powerising / Problems / Re: wanna move down a spring size (ive had the same bocks for about a year)

Thanks Bill ... it may also have something to do with my not being too far of fourty but that's another matter. I'm laying off the stilts for a few days because right now it hurts to run or jump without them on. I've got three months to try to get good enough to use these things onstage in a Shakespeare production but if I cripple myself I won't be performing with or without them. Reading the posts it looks as though I can buy a set of springs on their own so maybe that's what I'll do - use the 5070s for the performance and the 7090s later when I want some fun

just joining together a couple of threads if you'll forgive me ... I'm about the same weight too and am currently on 7090s which I have had less than a month and find very stiff although I haven't tried any others to make a comparison. My upper/mid back is pretty sore since I started bocking and I feel it with every bounce - could a stiff set of springs have contributed to this? I'm only asking opinions here, not expecting medical diagnosis ... but based on your experience what do you think ... should I get softer springs? Bouncing hard enough to get any height is killing my back - anyone else find this? I already mentioned this in the injuries section so forgive me if you're reading 'bout my problems all over again

On the subject of Bockers Back - I'm getting back pain but I'm pretty sure it's just muscular and will pass. It's a ache in the upper back that I can feel with every bounce. It only came on yesterday and I'm new to Bocking so does this sound like the kind of thing most people experience at first and if so what should I correct? Cheers PF

Everything Else / Introductions / Merseyside Noob / Bocking anthem
|

Hello there bouncy people, Listening to Radio Bock as I write this (nice one lads) and been trying to read as many posts as I can to pick up as many tips as possible. Just got my powerisers - PR 7090s, loving them but aching all over! Wondering if there's anyone else on Merseyside?? The forum, vids etc have been a great help sorting out my initial questions so thanks for that - seems everyone has similar issues at first. Still not sure about my springs and how much I can expect them to loosen up with time. I'm only ten stone or so (63-66kg) and they feel pretty stiff. General advice seems to be that I have the right ones because they'll be what I want once I've got the skills but would I find the 5070s easier? Thing is I've got them to use in a show (if I can get good enough) and I have two months to get as much practice as possible in then we'll make a decision about whether or not they're in. would I progress quicker on the 5070s? Anyway - glad to have found you. By the way - Could this be the new Bocking anthem? http://www.zshare.net/audio/61931069722f5c/
