61  Powerising / Where to Powerise / Re: Vart? on: June 10, 2008, 10:07:37 PM

Since i'm looking for springs that requires less energy to gain good height would 7's be perfect, i could always start with them and change to poweriser springs later when i've gained more experiance?

Thanks for all your support! You all have been really great, thanks again!

Alright, how about 7league boot springs? Maybe they're as stiff as powerisers?
65  Powerising / Problems / Re: Problems with Fly Jumpers on: June 08, 2008, 11:43:12 PM
I've been wondering about powerisers lately. I really think that my stilts are stiff but will powerisers be any different? If you compare the springs what would be the major difference except getting much better heights?
66  Powerising / Problems / Re: Problems with Fly Jumpers on: June 08, 2008, 08:22:05 PM
I guess they have good reasons to close the shop temporarely, problems always occur.

I like to order one pairs but website already closed? www.flyjumpestore.com

If i was you I'd skip those cheap stilts and buy something that doesn't break or get worn down as easily.

http://www.skatehut.co.uk/acatalog/Adult_Powerisers_2008__199.95_.html

that's what i'm getting as soon as i sell my Fly Jumpers.
67  Powerising / Problems / Re: Problems with Fly Jumpers on: June 07, 2008, 09:53:04 AM
Thank you both! I'm just worried that if i'm going to change springs on my fly jumpers will it just fall appart, which is why i'm now trying to sell them.

So where are you going Jump-UP?

____________________________________________________________________________________________

I think i solved the problem for now, i simply placed plastic parts around the bearings which works surprisingly well, so i'm using the plastic bearings again.

I have two new questions, which metall is the best one to make bearings out of?
I'd guess that it should be as smooth as possible when it's polished(less friction) yet somewhat softer than aliminium....like copper?

Should you use anything to lubricate these bearings?

Ok, how i meant by vibrating that they the lower part of the springs shakes back and forth much like a guitar string does, also making "clacking" noises everytime i take of with them.

As i've said before, the frames are worn down and i've contacted the company who sold them. I'd say that they're Skyrunners with different straps. I was at a store (Hobbex) and looked at the Skyrunners which they had in stock but i couldn't even try  them on since the strap broke, just imagine if that happens when you jump with them Tongue

Oh and  a common thing happened today. The white plastic thing just flipped out from the left or right spring.

Here's a vid of my sucky jumping progress.

Here's the thing about this video, when i taped it had I slept like 2-3 hours so i was bold enough to get to it even if i was tired as hell.

Enjoy, and hopefully will you laugh with me, not at me Cheesy

Thanks for your support everyone!

As i wrote above is this thread about Fly Jumpers which i didn't put much research on like i did with Skyrunners, I don't really take things offensive either or care if people have some attitudes towards others.
We're all human and we all make misstakes. I didn't ignore anything  really since I didn't put my research on the Flyjumpers. I once thought that Fly Jumpers we're different from Skyrunners but in the end are they both cheap and low budget.
The origional thought was to buy knee cuffs and new springs IF i wanted to continue using stilts, which i do. So i aimed to get something cheaper but with acceptable parts which were the frames in this case.

After i bought these stilts did i find out that Skatehut had them for a similliar price. So I thought that the greater difference were the springs.

£199.95 (2419 sek)

I bought mine here for around 2000 sek
http://www.coolstuff.se/p1110/FlyJumper.html

that's only 500 sek that differs between the two pricetags so there wasn't a greater differense there.

I should have done more research, i guess you can be a "dick" and call me ignorant  Wink Tongue

Don't make a big deal out of this and let's focus on the subject

Yea i've been thinking about it getting some ball bearings for them, sounds like an idea? Or should i just try to sell them and get myself a decent pair of stilts?

ball bearings are a bad idea, they can't take the impact of bocking.

Ah that's too bad, i guess that wraps it up. I'll be shopping for new parts or simply sell these things and buy those powerisers

See if your seller will give you the vertical support bar free on warranty, if not buy one if they'll let you. Or make your own if you can get the right kit.
Otherwise they're pretty much buggered, you'll need a new pair Sad

lol,
i think there have been enough warnings about flyjumpers, so if you ignored them, don't wonder now. Buy some decent pairs of stilts is the only suggestion I would give you.....
Rather than just being a dick and calling the guy an idiot, perhaps post something helpful Dome?
Jump high, shut the hell up says sprog.

We'll see what www.coolstuff.se will say about it, i think it will be expensiver to replace all the damned parts of these budget stilts :p

Thanks for the advice everyone, even if some has a strange sence of humor Wink

It's all good, Phillz

ok so i bought these low budget things just to try this new thing (jumping stilts ofc) but i've had them for like 2-3 weeks now and already after the 4 first days the feet got worn down but me and my friend got that fixed thanks to all you're sweet tut's on here  Wink

Now i've encountered a new problem though, and that is the bearings. The're made of plastic on these cheap stilts of course so we noticed that hey got worn easily, the springs started to vibrate each time we jumped, and even walked with them, also making clicking noises.

So then I discovered that the top plastic bearings got worn down like i said above, so I exchanged them with metal ones that my friend made for me. Now here's the problem, the vertical support bar has been worn because it's made of aliminium and the bearings i used so even if i put new plastic bearings on will it still make clicking noises as well as making the spring vibrate.

Now, how will i solve this problem? Any suggestions?

Det är ju alltid en början! Man kanske skulle fråga folk som stannar upp och sneglar på en när man hoppar runt i parker och sånt. Ungarna här är väldigt intresserade har man märkt
74  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Alla Svenskar, hör up! on: June 05, 2008, 07:44:43 PM
Ungefär hur många är intresserade i huvudtaget dock?  Har du frågat på andra ställen zackiz?

Ännu en svensk som är intresserad Wink  Jag är säker på att Mockarutan också skulle vara lika intresserad som jag är.
