Demand that they give them to you or refund their value!  They should be legally accountable for losing your stuff!

That picture's from the special Olympics.  I think he has Downs Syndrome, which explains the face and awkward gait.

If you're gonna go after goats, use a milking stand.  They don't have to cooperate if they're stuck, but watch out for those hooves.  Maybe tie them up?

Goat rape...  We are a disturbing bunch   Cool

I think you're going to need Powerskip Pros with some comfy shoes bolted on.  It's a long way to go, and they're pretty light, the parts last a long time, and they have the rotating footplate.  Powerskip Pro + calf cuffs + tough tire socks (or just bring some extra hooves).  Upwings would be the best if their cuffs were more comfortable, because they are lighter around the hoof (which is the most important because of leverage).  But upwings are untested for durability.

I have found that tire socks from high-pressure tires are stronger.  They have more cloth fibers running through them, which amplifies the toughness factor, and I think the rubber is usually of higher quality.  My tire socks are from tires made for about 65-85 psi (5 atmospheres, which is 500 kPa, right?) with fairly thin tread.  Surprisingly, the thin tread gets much more traction on pavement than mountain bike tires.  I switched to mountain bike tires for one day, slipped on my first running jump, and went back.  It's because more rubber is touching the pavement.  I don't know if their increased toughness outweighs their thickness, so I don't know if they'll last you longer than thicker tires, but it might be worth considering.  When I find my camera, I'll put up a picture of them, because there's also a kinda cool mod involving the bolts on top of the hoof.

A New England meet taking place in Texas?  A bit out of the way, and I'd have to get a ride from someone generous to get to it.  But I'll come to any meet I can!  I don't think I show up on the member map because I haven't uploaded a picture for it, but I'm in the southeast corner of NH.

True, but they're rather expensive.  Well worth the money, but it's quite a pile of change.

Wow, have fun with those boxes, maybe a helmet?  NOT a serious insult, you guys kick ___.

OK, about what I thought, except for the velocity stilts.  They do claim to be about 5.5lb at the site.  They probably didn't count the spring as part of the stilt... tricky bastards.
791  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Pivoting footplate or not? Or what? on: February 06, 2008, 09:04:52 PM
ok, thanks.  Too bad Upwing parts are non-compatible with every other stilt on the market...  I spent all my money (I'm 17 and live in a tourist economy, so no job until the summer) on PR Advanced, which is why I am interested in getting just footplates.  Seems to me like it would work alright and I wouldn't have to replace the frame, because the parts are all pretty much the same.

The moment it popped into my head, I thought, "My god, why hasn't anyone said it yet?"

793  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Weight Comparison on: February 06, 2008, 02:22:57 AM
I have Poweriser Advanced (the ones with the cuffs and snowboard bindings) and they're about 10lb/4.5kg.

I've heard that Upwings are about 7lb/3.3kg.

Anyone wanna share their model and weight?  I'm interested in how they all compare.  This is another one of those things that doesn't get much conversation, but would be very nice to know.
794  Powerising / Videos / Re: Another reason why i don't like upwings on: February 06, 2008, 12:45:44 AM
On the description of that video on youtube, it says that they know what they're doing now and not to bother commenting on how their bindings are wrong.
795  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Selling my Upwings on: February 06, 2008, 12:42:53 AM
Hey since you have them, could you put up some more design-based pictures?  We all wanna know how the hell it doesn't break at the heel, how the drilled spring works out, how the footplate works, etc.  It's a little off-topic, but information on upwings is scarce and they're very interesting and strange.  It's a burning question to me, at least, and probably more than half of everyone else here.

I might direct my sister to your offer, but is 60kg the minimum, maximum, or middle of the range?
