It also depends on what you do on them and where you do it. I think running wears them more than bouncing, and pavement wears them quickly too. Hardpacked dirt does little or no wear.
I've had mine for five months but only used them for three because of snow, and I think they're about 2/3 of the way through their lifetimes, but it's hard to tell. Does anyone else have cracks near the sides?
EDIT:I forgot to mention that my tire socks lasted about a month of my total time with my bocks.

Yeah, gravel on the road can be scary. In addition to rolling under you, it also throws off your balance unless you land on it with the exact center of your hoof. ...After about an hour we returned home, and i was lathered. This seems to be a very good form of exercise... I think i will leave it a day before going out again. Don't want to overdo it at my age. It's not just your age, because I was the same way when I started. I'm seventeen and in very good shape, but the awkward musculature they need can slow down any beginner. I think it'll be a while before you can comfortably bock every day. And I don't think anyone knows how long your rubber matting will last because I'm not sure if anyone has ever used that material, especially at that particular thickness, before. You'll just have to find out.

Well, I hope you can enjoy the videos and stuff here until you're able to go out and do it yourself. I know what it feels like to want to bock but not be able to, I was staring at the videos here for a few months before I got mine. Welcome!

I remember reading about someone who did a split kick into a chav's face and broke the guy's jaw and knocked him unconscious, but I haven't had that kind of run-in with anyone myself. It's all pretty safe over here in the USA.

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Spare springs in the UK??

Umm, 7leagues does sell 7090 springs separately. I have no idea why they don't sell S-rexes separately yet, but they do sell 7090 springs, DK.
The only springs that don't fit other models are Up-Wing springs, which you'd have a hard time finding anyway. Powerskip springs require smaller bolts than the others, but that's fifty cents at a hardware store. All other parts are interchangeable as far as we know.

Welcome to our forum! I hope you find it useful. Just some advice, you should have some pads while you're learning.
I have no idea if there is anyone near you, but you should check the member map first.

The rule of thumb is to only go up to the next weight class if you're very close to the top of yours. Getting overpowered springs is generally only a good idea if you're already pretty good and want more power.

It doesn't really matter greatly, but fairly close together seems to work best for me. And don't get worried about not getting much height quickly, because as I recall you have some fairly powerful springs. Just practice and try to get a feel for them, and keep in mind that Poweriser springs take some breaking in. Also try to notice when you're going through instinctual fall-breaking motions when you land, it seems that beginners unconsciously sap away their own height that way. A relaxed but solid and vertical pose seems to work best when landing.
