Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: A Bit of Advice

I'd watch out with powerizernz... They have internet slang on their site, which is weird (Chinese web designer trying to sound like a native English speaker?), and I think one of their pictures is of Powerisers. There's another picture that might be 7leagueboots, or just Powerizers with yellow tape on the springs. They are quite possibly legitimate, but don't expect them to have customer service or anything. The "promo" strikes me as weird too... Wouldn't they try to promote a promotional deal? It should be on their website. It also strikes me as odd that their stronger springs are more expensive. Nobody does that. Pretty much everywhere else, it's the same price regardless of weight class.
I'd definitely go with the other site. They seem to primarily sell circus equipment, which is not an industry full of fraud and cheating. They seem to have a clear understanding of what they're selling, too, except for the fact that 7 feet is overstatement. Nobody can jump seven feet on any springs. If you order from burn.net, you will definitely get what you had in mind.
As for height difference, it's about the same for every brand- the only question is how easily you will reach that height. New powerizers have a somewhat nicer character and maybe lose less energy per bounce, but do not last very long. Poweriser springs are a good deal tougher but lose more energy. The frames are about equal, but if I had my choice of frames, I'd go with Poweriser.

Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: How much better can they get?

I can see a high-tech piezoelectric strip on the spring that tenses up when a sensor detects that the spring has compressed as far as it's going to go. Frames can always get lighter (CF composite?), hooves can get tougher (NASCAR secret mix?), and springs can last longer and lose less energy (Dome's project). There is probably a lot of improvement that can be done in the joints, which seem to be the fastest-wearing part of the frame. I'd also like to see a pivoting footplate that's comfortable to use. I've never been on pivoting footplates, but I've heard few compliments.
I think the basic layout of the frame for the Up-Wing is the way of the future, but there are better ways to attach the spring to the frame than running bolts through it.
And on the skateboard analogy, the bearings and wheel materials have almost undoubtably gotten better, as has the material for the board. And take a look at the longboard: made specifically to get around. It's very different in behavior from a stunting skateboard, with suspension built into the flexibility of the frame and a generally smoother, more energy-efficient ride. However, it's very hard to stunt on. I think there will be a good deal of specialization as the sport gets more popular. I would guess that there will be quick-change hooves, with different designs for different surfaces, and maybe even quick-change springs too. For that I would guess that there will be a sacrifice of the wide-range interchangeability we have now.

Yeah, seriously wrong springs. Get M60s, I have no idea how you can bounce on M80s at all.
Err, why did you get M80s?

Yeah, if they both end up catapulting you the same height, only get Powerisers if you keep on bottoming out X-Rexes.
New abbreviation: instead of writing S-Rex type X, which is awkward and lengthy, X-Rex or R-Rex is much more convenient.
