Really guys, keep it out of the malls. Whether the guards care or not, it's good form. I think the sense of broken limits you get when bocking sometimes extends too far.

... I think you'll find that the Funriser is another brand imported from a Far East manufacturer, they will probably reappear under various brand names as dealers buy them, similar to the situation with the Fly Jumper brands. I personally think its great that the illegal copy products are difficult to sell particulary on Ebay (the biggest illegal flee market in the world IMO) I hope this product and sport has a chance to develop through a professional network of resellers rather than a few chancers wanting to make a quick buck. If you had read the whole topic, you would have found that Funrisers are Austrian with a few parts made by an American hang glider company. Not Far East, and they actually appear to be of at least not-bad quality. My reference to blocking eBay sales comes from a thread in which I seem to remember Cantallian complaining about how the Boecks were preventing him from selling used 7leagues over eBay.

Well, now that's irritating. Between the games they play with their patent laws and doing stuff like this, I'm beginning to get the impression that Powerskip is governed by the same totally self-serving ideals that govern most corporations these days. Very nice product, but they will even prevent resale over eBay if they can think up an excuse.

I checked out this Aircotec company they keep on referring to, and sent them an email inquiring about Funrisers. I figure they have less to gain by lying than the Funriser company themselves, so I'll see what they have to say, if anything. The email went as follows: link removed due to request from patent holder
They attribute many of the important parts of their jumping stilts to your company. This is all very interesting...
Err, why was my link removed? Beyond the obvious fact that the patent holder does not approve, was their an intelligent reason or do the Boecks just not want anyone to know about www.funriser.com? I couldn't imagine posting a link in a forum as a violation of their patent.

...... does anyone really care about mine?
No My name is pretty straightforward. It's my name. The Mr. comes from the complexity of my last name. One time my father half-seriously said that if I ever traveled to Asia on business for whatever reason, anyone who addressed me would take one look at my last name and just call me Mr. Frank. I also use it on the internet sometimes and if I go to a convention where they ask me if I want a nickname on my name tag, that's what I use.

Your bindings broke? What kind of stilt do you have?
I don't know what the cracking noise was... That is very strange that it only happened twice.
And PS is Latin. It stands for post scriptum, which is best translated as "after it was written".

You beat me to it! I was in the middle of writing an identical topic with a few long quotes from you, then I saw you already did it. (the PM was to me)
Anyway, I have a little to say about Poweriser and Powerskip.
The difference in stiffness between PR7090s and E520s is extreme. I found the E520s to be much softer than I thought I could ever rationally expect, but found that they gave me about the same height as a broken-in pair of 7090s. I can't give any numbers, but the Powerskips were effortless to run in and bottom out. In fact, I did it by accident nearly every time I tried to do a trick and they broke after two days. However, they were an Ebay purchase and the last guy appeared to have drilled them out to fit Poweriser bolts and they may have been used more than he said, so maybe fresh 520s are stiffer. I could still not imagine them ever being close to as hard to bottom out as my 7090s.
I also determined after using the Powerskips for a few days that my Poweriser springs give something vaguely close to the same force anywhere between four and fourteen inches compression. I feel like I get into it, the spring applies an acceleration, and that acceleration remains constant until I'm in the air again. The sudden changes in acceleration are kinda uncomfortable to me and I think some of the energy loss in the bounce comes from how my body reacts to that. However, it does seem to get stronger for the last few inches; I can tell when I'm getting close to bottoming out. This somewhat unpleasant character may just be a product of the fact that my Powerisers are new and have not gotten broken in yet.

I don't think it makes a difference. I'm suspicious that they make them that way because it's harmless and the only true fix is adding a spacer across the top of the hoof part. Even when I tighten it, it gets loose again. I think the rubber is a good idea, but I don't think it really matters.
