Powerising / Injuries / Re: Chest Pain

Hmmm... I used to get some pains in the middle of my chest. It felt like some connective tissue was getting pulled at more than it was prepared for. I think the tissue toughened up, though, because it stopped.

Doubled up front and back will only work if they are separated by a few inches, and arranged that way it would be hard to implement. If they are right against each other, they will act as one two-inch-thick spring with one in compression and the other in tension. They aren't really made to be completely in tension or completely in compression, so that may (or may not) cause trouble from the start. The resistance to flexure increases exponentially with width, so even a pair of M60s would be exceedingly stiff and prone to snapping.
Took a look at the helper leaf springs. They attach to the main spring at either end but do not touch in the middle? That could work. Wait a sec... could it be so easy? Idea! Gimme a few minutes with MS paint, I think I can draw this.
There. May or may not need to saw off the ends, may or may not be able to use the same bracket, but it doesn't look too hard after all.

Hey, it could have been cooler, but the wave of people inspired by the Olympics has already started coming in! If we're lucky, it will be like having a Christmas in August.
And halfanimal, don't beat yourself up about it. You're one of the best bockers in the world, you trained 400 kids for an act in the Olympics, I think you're doing fine.

Well, it's really unfortunate, but I think you'll just have to wait until bocking becomes popular enough to make frames and springs of that strength economical. Or you could try begging DK and paying him a lot of money for a pair of custom doubled-up bocks, but that would be up to him. Powerskip 720s (The site does not advertise them but they do make them on request) might fit the bill, barely, but I have heard they are prone to breaking.
Good luck!

Try and copy XS's spacer mod, colorize your frames with colored duct tape, make Pinhead straps (if you don't have cuffs), augment your hooves with strips of car tire, make fuzzy spring covers, clean/lube the bushings, there's lots of stuff you can do if you feel like it.
Or you can spend all day on the forum.

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: 7 League Stilts

Yeah, the standard plastic ratchets kinda suck. They don't hold as well as snowboard bindings, which is what the Evos are. You might also want to get Pinhead straps with that. They have that name because Pinhead69 invented them, but 7leagues now sells them separately, I think. They are a pair of straps that make an X in the front of the knee bar and loop around the backs of your legs, effectively replacing the flimsy strap in back and holding much better.
And yeah, T-Rexes are the way to go.

Excellent, thanks for mentioning me at the bottom of the article. The easier it is for newbies to find the information they need, the better. It could be improved by either getting rid of the "picture here" messages or making them work, though. They come through as just text in the wiki article.
